"And like I said, if you think it's that easy, you're welcome to have a go yourself," Lydia insisted. "But ultimately, he's an adult... he's 19 years old. It's not our responsibility to take care of him like a child: it's up to him to do that himself. And he's consistently refused to do that."
Cheryl rolled her eyes. “Sounds like excuses.” She said going tomKyle. “Come on Kyle, let’s go.”
Kyle ignored Cheryl staying hidden under his blankets.
At this point, Lydia simply gave up and left.
However, a couple of minutes later, Nestor arrived, looking rather bemused. "Who are you? And what are you doing here?!"
Cheryl turned around. “I could ask you the same! How could you all let Prince Kyle get in such a state!” She cried pointing to the lump under the blankets that was Kyle.
Nestor snorted.
"Well, if you want him, then I guess you can have him. That way, he won't be our problem any more. Just don't tell my wife I said that... she was the one who stopped me from giving him away before!"
Cheryl rolled her eyes. “Ugh, you people are disgusting the way you treat him…”
"He treats HIMSELF like that!" Nestor insisted. "When he first arrived here, after losing his father, we were all sympathetic. But when people tried to help him, he simply whined and moaned and alienated and pushed everyone away. Like I said, you're welcome to have him if you want - but I fully expect him to do the same to you, until you run out of sympathy as well and bring him back here."
“It doesn’t mean you abandon people!” Cheryl snapped. “That’s just cruel…”
"We offered all the help we could!" Nestor insisted. "But he refused all the help we offered. It's not like we could force it on him... and I'm getting really sick of you judging us over a situation you don't know the first thing about. So, either make yourself useful, and help him - or get out of my castle."
“Hmph…” Cheryl went back to Kyle attempting to yank him out of his bed. Thankfully since he was in such a weakened state it was easy, and he wasn’t really heavy at all. “Come on Kyle…we’re leaving…”
