For the first couple of minutes, as Kyle was still building his confidence, Lydia led the way. However, Kyle soon found that the moves came naturally to him - and he took over. The two of them swivelled around for a bit - but then, Kyle astonished the rest of the crowd by lifting Lydia into the air, sending her into an elegant spin, and landing her gently onto the ground. Most of his fellow dancers would have struggled with this move - and yet, he executed it effortlessly.
While everybody was distracted watching Kyle's mastery of his dance routine, Lysander snuck in quietly, with a wooden-faced dance partner slung lifelessly underneath his arm. It was obviously just a mannequin that he had 'borrowed' from the local clothing store.
Lysander then shuffled into a corner, and began 'dancing', hoping nobody would look too closely at his 'partner'...
