Affiliate Policy and Images

Do you want to affiliate with The Coffee House? If so, we're more than happy to accept you offer, as long as it complies with the following guidelines:

1) In order to become an affiliate, you will need the following:
a) A link to your forum/website (and no, you won't be penalised for advertising).
b) A small image, which must contain the name of your site/forum. About 100 x 35 pixels would be ideal.

These must be either PM'd to an owner/admin or posted in this topic.

2) Your site must not include any material, or links to material, that is profane or adult in any way.
Self-explanatory.

3) If you want us to link to your site, you must link back to The Coffee House in your own 'Affiliates' section. If you fail to comply with this guideline, you are defeating the whole purpose of affiliation (two or more people link to each other's sites). If you give us an affiliation request that complies with all of the guidelines, and we process it, we will check your affiliates section 48 hours after processing for a link back to The Coffee House; if we cannot find one, the deal's off, and we will remove the link to your site.

4) Any forums you link to must be active. For the purposes of these guidelines, an 'active' forum is defined as one with 30 posts in the last 30 days, at least 15 of which must have been made by someone other than the board creator. Also, if an existing affiliate falls inactive, it will be removed. 

5) If we approach you with an affiliation request, then you will need an image as described in rule 1. Other than that, you may, of course, use your own guidelines when processing our request.

6) You must have at least 20 posts on The Coffee House before requesting affiliation. This is to match the minimum posts required to post an advertisement thread in the 'Advertising' forum. 

7) If you move your forum, then you're encouraged to post your new link and icon here so that I can re-add it. However, I will no longer be accepting affiliation requests from people who repeatedly move their forums. People move their forums every now and then for all kinds of reasons - and so, if I form a positive and productive partnership with a community which moves to a different forum, then I'll happily continue that partnership at the new location. However, I'm afraid it gets very annoying having to re-register on forum after forum made by the same person - and, besides, I see no reason to link members to a board which is likely to be closed or inactive within a month or two .

Now if they want to rehost the image on here and off of ZB's servers you'll want to do another update, but that'll fix the wrong link for now.
