I myself don't have a strong preference for either pronunciation (I suspect I rhyme it with 'gone' more frequently than I rhyme it with 'cone', although I use both interchangeably)
Also, this is assuming that we aren't talking about the Stone of Scone (in which case, 'Scone' rhymes with 'moon' )
