Gordon Ramsay is selling a burger for £80 at his new restaurant in London.
The celebrity chef will open his eponymous restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Burger, in Harrods on 4 December, just after the nationwide lockdown lifts.
The £80 item is an indulgent wagyu burger that comprises a beef patty with seared wagyu sirloin, truffle Pecorino cheese, cep mayonnaise, and additional black truffle.
Other high-price items on the menu include a £42 lobster and shrimp burger, which combines lobster and rock shrimp in a patty that is topped with pickled vegetables, aioli, and frisée.
Meanwhile, hotdogs cost £21 and a side order of chips will set you back £6.
I will admit that, from the description, this sounds like an extremely tempting burger... but, worth £80?! I have serious doubts: I imagine you'd be paying for Gordon Ramsay's personal brand here, and it's probably possible for someone else to make something similar and sell it for significantly less.
Still, I guess the customers will decided whether this food item is a burger bonanza, or an idiot sandwich .
