Liberia's story is one of the abused becoming the abusers.
Rather sad that the country's consistently failed to live up to its founding ideals - and indeed, has perpetuated many of the same abusive practices that it was founded in order to get away from . But it's good that, in recent years, they've started moving away from the corruption and civil war that had defined its history for around a century and a half.
Also, I've modified the topic title, to make it clearer that it's about African history (because the name "From Nothing" itself doesn't really say what the channel is about ).
Making Liberia definitely disqualified for the "Wholesome, not problematic history" category.
Yeah, definitely.
Admittedly, no country has a completely unproblematic history, but Liberia isn't a serious candidate for "country with the least bad history", having been a brutal dictatorship in the relatively recent past!
