Okay - so, who here is into snooker? If you are, then the World Snooker Championship is due to take place over the next two-and-a-bit weeks. As always, it'll be held in the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield (just like I said in the "Sheffield / South Yorkshire" thread that I started last week ).
Last year, Mark Williams sensationally defeated John Higgins in the final by a score of 18-16 - and then appeared naked in the press conference, making good on a promise he made earlier in the tournament . This year, a repeat of the Williams-Higgins final isn't going to happen - partly because both players are in the twilight of their careers, but mostly because they're in the same half of the draw .
So, who will be in the final? In addition to Williams and Higgins, the top half of the draw contains four more former champions: 2005 champion Shaun Murphy, 2006 champion Graeme Dott, 2010 champion Neil Robertson, and 2015 champion Stuart Bingham. The bottom half isn't so crowded with former champions, but what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality: five-time champion Ronnie O'Sullivan and three-time champion Mark Selby are both in that half of the draw, and if they both make it to the semi-finals, the resulting match between them will definitely be one to watch !
So, who's going to win ?
