A new Superman movie will hit the big screen in 2025 and the creators have given a first look at the all important suit.
Director James Gunn posted the image taken on set on social media with a reveal of David Corenswet in character. The caption said: "Get Ready. Superman 7.11.25".
The film is a reboot of the classic DC comic book character, although no details of the plot have yet been released.
It's hard to please everyone, especially with an iconic character like Superman and some people aren't completely happy with the reveal.
Some fans posted on social media suggesting it looks "too much like an MCU suit", referencing the Marvel Cinematic Universe and heroes such as Captain America. While others said it looked as if it had been made with AI.
On the one hand, I don't think these changes are bad, as such. On the other hand, they do strike me as unnecessary: this version of Superman isn't how people know and remember him, but also doesn't differ from his classic appearance in any distinctive way that adds to his character.
