As for myself, I don't really care for forums as I used to. I prefer Discord these days. They've pretty much became a "replacement" for them and I know many are on the same boat as I am about it.

I like being able to look back on a conversation & think about what some one posted. Or even give myself time to post something in a certain conversation. Chat clients are nice when talking to friends. But if your wanting a deep discussion that can continue on past the general flow of conversation, then foruming is definately the way to go.

Yeah, I'm pretty much with you there.
Though, I do also acknowledge what you said earlier, about Discord being easier, because it's all on one app. Discord is definitely more accessible than forums - especially for phone users. I do wonder whether forums could learn something from that (although, "an app for forums" is going to be hard when forums are all so different. Sure, Tapatalk has one, but I'm pretty sure most of us want nothing to do with anything Tapatalk!).
