"F-fine," Nestor blubbered anxiously. "We'll go!"
The next month was, to the relief of everybody, much quieter than the previous one. Nestor made no more attempts to marry any of his children: every time he raised the issue with Cassandra, she whipped out an avocado, and that was the end of that. Meanwhile, Kyle was improving very gradually: he was able to walk slowly around his own room without toppling over, but he hadn't yet dared to venture outside, and he was still quite depressed. As for Conor and Cheryl, they were relatively successful at keeping Chris in line, and Craig was much happier after the carpenter had produced a bottle with a fancy nozzle, designed to resemble Conor's thumb. At last, Cheryl was able to use this to feed her son!
Over in Lennart Castle, it was a similar story. Tom still insisted on getting Kyle back sooner rather than later - although, he hadn't actually made any attempts to do this: he instead focused on solving the administrative problems within the castle itself. Jocelyn was a little happier too: she still missed Chris quite frequently, but she was getting by. The one big change came with Anita - who had made Lennart Castle her permanent home after it was proven that Kylie was indeed Tom's granddaughter. She had struck up a friendship with Frederick - who often helped to take care of Kylie, acting like the father she didn't have.
However, back in New Atlantis, Nestor was busy lecturing Aliana.
"Sandra and I will be away for two weeks because of this wedding," he explained. "During our absence, I shall be placing you in charge of the castle. I expect you to take this duty very seriously: I expect you to BEHAVE, and I expect you to make sure everyone else BEHAVES as well. Especially Kyle and Chris. Is that clear?"
