TIMELINE OF IMPORTANT URALICAN AND URALICA-AFFECTING WORLD EVENTS
(Part 1: April 2011-31 May 2018)
(OOC: This will be done as if I were in CCC for the pre-Dispersion years. I had to split this in two because it hit limit.)
- 1 April 2011 - the first petition brought forward suggesting that Uralica shift from becoming a Neo-Tribal democracy to a non-partisan republic, from a political theorist from Cherepovets, signed by two hundred thousand people.
- 7 April 2011 - first discussions held in the High Council after discussion by Founders' Committee.
- 30 April 2011 - put to vote to begin the constitutional change process; passes with only 32 votes against.
- 15 May 2011 - first draft read to High Council, voted down 159-342 primarily due to "too much of a power shift away from rural areas"
- 30 June 2011 - after numerous consultations and discussions, the third draft passes unanimously after an electoral map is drawn.
- 1 August 2011 - Uralica's first presidential election, combined with representative elections; Jarkko Salomäki elected for a five-year term in a landslide victory, becoming the youngest-ever fully democratically-elected head of state at 28 years of age. (He was elected by the High Council in 2008)
- 25 November 2012 - 20 January 2012 - Uralica was at war with the Independent Republic of Orange Nations during the "Grudge War," but nukes were not launched from either Uralica nor her opponents, and casualties, relatively low on both sides. Peace was relatively quick, as IRON had respect for Uralica from its days with The Order Of Light, and the respect was mutual.
- 29 February 2012 - Yekaterinburg hits 5 million people.
- 3 July-3 August 2012 - "The Dave War." Uralica entered this strictly logistically, as they did not agree with the actions of either side leading up to the war, calling the Commonwealth of Sovereign Nations' actions "overreaction" and Mushroom Kingdom's actions "blatant disregard for diplomatic convention." (OOC: or in CN terms, I was a bank nation. ) The Orange Defence Network accepts token material reparations from Uralica in the place of monetary reparations, and these are paid off in very little time (and by that, I mean before the final end to the war on 6 August!)
- 21 January-26 March 2013 - "The Equilibrium War" was Uralica's most involved war, albeit not its bloodiest, at least in terms of its own casualties (that was the PB-NpO War where Uralica fought against the Mushroom Kingdom). It was also where Uralica stopped the most nuclear weapons, not letting a single one of 31 attempted nuclear attacks through. It fought against 7 nations, of which all but one was from the Communist agency known as the International, and established complete aerial superiority. Neither Uralica nor the CCC exacted reparations, and in fact, Uralica offered to help some of the nations rebuild civilian infrastructure. None of the International's nations accepted, but the one Non Grata nation that was the exception did. This would result in the beginning of friendly relations with certain Robertian nations in the area of what is now The New Confederacy.
- 1 April 2013 - the first of a series of protests in Syktyvkar over "continuous petty wars started by bored teenagers," supported - and in some cases actually joined - by Uralican High Council members!
- 31 May 2013 - the last of the Russian Mafia in Uralica are arrested in a sting operation in Yekaterinburg. Sentences for them range from 10 years and banishment from the country for money-laundering, to the death penalty for multiple murders.
- 16 September 2013 - Jarkko Salomäki issues a statement condemning "Mushqaeda's" actions against neutral Robertian alliances.
- 19-30 September 2013 - told to "do something about it" by one specific Mushqaeda ruler, Uralica's response was "Something done." Through aerial and land-based combat, this nation was subdued, and its leaders arrested and charged with crimes against humanity.
- 3 October 2013 - Second Syktyvkar Demonstration.
- 10 November 2013-11 February 2014 - In spite of demonstrations in increasing numbers of countries, another global war happens - what would be the Uralica's last before Dispersion. This "Disorder War" saw Uralica active on three fronts of the war - first against the Global Alliance and Treaty Organisation, then (again) against the Orange Defence Network, and finally against the feared New Pacific Order. Uralica came out with relatively little damage, as its anti-nuclear system mostly held up (one nuke did get through, but ended up going off course and hitting uninhabited land in southern Yugra). White peace was extended by the CCC to all parties.
- 15 February 2014 - the firestorm started by the "successful" ODN nuclear attack on southern Yugra is declared contained, and radiation cleanup begins.
- 18 May 2014 - Third Syktyvkar Demonstration, and this one expanded to other cities as well.
- 31 July 2014 - The Nizhny Novgorod Riot Disaster. Jarkko Salomäki condemned the excessive use of force by leaders and military of the Robertian nation controlling Nizhny Novgorod, resulting in the deaths of over two thousand protesters and sparking a riot that took a week to contain. This also led several Uralican government members to add their names to a Coalition Desiring an End to the Robertian System. (CDERS)
- 7 November 2014-8 January 2015- The "Doom War." Uralica was not in active combat, which gave them plenty of time to confer with the CDERS. White peace was declared by the CCC on all fronts.
- 1 March 2015 - The Global Riot, marking the beginning of Dispersion. Uralica is largely unaffected since it already supports an end to the Robertian system.
- 20 March 2015 - facing increasing disarray, the Colour Senate disbands. The motion was seconded by Sheldomar Bolak.
- 21 March-1 May 2015 - several Robertian alliances disband as the world begins trending back towards ethnic nation-states. Less popular nation leaders are executed. More centralised alliances consolidate their power into singular nation states.
- 1 May 2015 - the first post-Robertian states emerge, as the New Polar Order stakes its claim over Old Canada plus Alaska and Greenland, and the New Pacific Order consolidates in China, pushing west. Uralica, Botswana, and Displaced Calvinists declare their independence from the Robertian Alliance system.
- 2 May-13 September 2015 - The West African War Of Dispersion. Probably the most convoluted, and bloodiest, of the Dispersion conflicts. Uralica had a hand in brokering peace.
- 3 May-19 August 2015 - the Uyghur-Chinese War. Another one of the bloodiest of the Dispersion conflicts.
- 8 May 2015 - remnants of the Siberian Tiger Alliance consolidate their power in the Kingdom of Siberia, but Sakha, Chukotka, Tyva, Buryatia, and some areas in the southwest of Siberia do not join.
- 14 May 2015, Uralica signs the Treaty of Tazovsky with Siberia, recognising present and potential borders between the two.
- 19 May 2015 - Upset with the authoritarian tendencies of certain Russian post-Robertianists, part of the Russian Lands separates and founds the Republic of Novgorod.
- 20 May-16 October 2015 - The New Troubles in Russia; the New Russian Federation turns into an autocratic state.
- 23 May 2015 - Rebirth of Finland.
- 25 May 2015 - Bashkorto-Tatarstan declares independence.
- 12 June 2015 - The Robertian Treaty of Naberezhnye Chelnyy officially ratified by the Bashkorto-Tatarstani government.
- 19 June 2015 - Uralica signs its first post-Robertian military treaty, with Novgorod, in Nizhny Novgorod, thus recognising their independence. Russia is furious with them for this.
- 20 June 2015 - The Treaty of Chaykovsky is signed between Siberia and Uralica, with one of the clauses stating that Uralica must ship half of its Twinkie production to Siberia for Prince Mishka's consumption!
- 21 June 2015 - Uralica enters a treaty with Finland in Lappeenranta, which is close to the Uralican border.
- 22 June 2015 - Russia threatens Uralica with war, provoking a response from several other nations.
- 23 June 2015 - Jarkko Salomäki gives treaty-signing authority to eleven other people - Vaido Kuik, Vlasi Malenkov, Meri Vanhanen, Ovdey Shlomov, Akhmetkhan Gubaidulin, Yevgeny Kolpakov, Lasse Yavrov, Yuvan Shestopalov, Marko Chistiyakov, Yelena Marinkova, and Menno Giesbrecht.
- Also 23 June 2015 - Transcaucasia secedes from the New Russian Federation.
- 24 June 2015 - Uralica signs the Treaty of Ufa with Bashkorto-Tatarstan. (Akhmetkhan Gubaidulin signed this one)
- 26 June 2015 - Mixed Russo-Kazakhs, ethnic Russians from the Steppes, and people from the southwest of Siberia, who disagree with the policies of the New Federation, band together and found the Republic of Ural-Altai. Kazakhstan reconstitutes, and the two determine their borders in the Treaty of Astana, which is now part of Ural-Altai.
- 27 June 2015 - Ireland invites Uralica to sign a treaty with them.
- 27 June-20 July 2015 - the Corridor War. The New Russian Federation doesn't want to lose its hold on a narrow corridor connecting it to the east, so they attack Ural-Altai pre-emptively. The new nation gets help from Siberia.
- 29 June 2015 - Uralica signs the Treaty of Tromsø with Norway (Lasse Yavrov) and the Treaty of Tyumen' with Ural-Altai (Ovdey Shlomov).
- 1 July 2015 - Uralica signs the Treaty of Skellefteå with Sweden (Meri Vanhanen), the Knox-Sproul Pact with Proxia (Yevgeny Kolpakov), and the Ordinance of Halifax with New Polar Canada (Jarkko Salomäki).
- 2 July 2015 - Uralica signs the Treaty of Cork with Ireland (Menno Giesbrecht).
- 3 July 2015 - Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia merge to form Baltika, and the new nation signs their first two military treaties, with Finland and Uralica, in Tallinn (Estonian Vaido Kuik was the signing authority for Uralica).
- 4 July 2015 - the New United States reconstitutes.
- 5-11 July 2015 - The Russian Federation attacks Uralica and gets dogpiled on by New Polar Canada, Ireland, Proxia, Norway, Sweden, Siberia, and Finland. (Bashkorto-Tatarstan, Ural-Altai, and Baltika whined that "nothing was left for them!") This "Isthmian War" results in the First Treaty of St. Petersburg (2009) being forcibly ratified by the Russian government, and also in a great deal of dissension within the Federation ranks. This would bite them in the butt come November!
- 5 July 2015 - The Bombing of Shusht was intended as a prelude to an attack via UH-7A-E and as a diversion for the real target, which was the Karelian Isthmus. It caused Uralica's third-most civilian casualties on the books for a single attack.
- 6 July 2015 - The Battle of Raivola was a complete disaster for Russia. They tried to sneak attack the large border town and were met with forest soldiers.
- 7 July 2015 - The Bombing of Kingisepp. You do not attack Uralica and not expect them to come at you with their Air Force! Kingisepp Air Force Base was wiped off the map, forcing the Federation to send aerial help from farther out.
- 7 July 2015-11 July 2015 - The St. Petersburg Dogpile. This is where most of the other countries made their only appearance. The military installments around St. Petersburg were put to the sword (proverbially speaking) in this period.
- 8 July 2015 - The Battle of Tikhvin. Uralica only actually had to fight two battles on Russian soil. This was one of them. Uralicans did their best to minimise collateral damage. (This would actually prove helpful in the long run!)
- 10 July 2015 - The Battle of Kirishi. Not much of a battle to be honest. Very few casualties were inflicted in this before the soldiers, and their leaders, surrendered, with the intent of defecting to Uralica.
- 10 July 2015 - "Aermageddon." Russia threw its already depleted airforce at Uralica over southern Karelia. The number of planes above Rautu was said to "blot out the sun." While Rautu itself wasn't severely damaged, there were cases of planes crashing into houses and apartment buildings. But as is typical, the Uralican Air Force proved victorious, downing every last Russian plane while only losing around two dozen of their own, and taking hundreds prisoner.
- 11 July 2015 - wanting to stem further defections and realising that the war could get a lot worse at the drop of a hat, the Russian Army's commander-in-chief insists that the Duma authorise surrender. They comply via emergency meeting. The only term Uralica has is for the Russian government to pay ten million rubles (not really that much money) to the Town of Shusht, and to ratify the 2009 Treaty of St. Petersburg.
- 5 July 2015 - The Bombing of Shusht was intended as a prelude to an attack via UH-7A-E and as a diversion for the real target, which was the Karelian Isthmus. It caused Uralica's third-most civilian casualties on the books for a single attack.
- 12 July 2015 - the first of a series of meetings between New Polar Canada, Siberia, Nordland, and Uralica in Petroskoi, Karelia.

- 17 September 2015 - Uralica called in to help militarily by Transcaucasia, not against Russia but against Ichkerian Islamists.
- 20 September 2015 - Georgia invades Abkhazia, upsetting most of its neighbours.
- 24-26 September 2015 - The Mindphaser Blitz. Uralica's feared special forces squadron rushes Sölzha-Ghala (OOC: Grozny) and thoroughly obliterates the jihadi forces controlling the nation, leaving no soldier surviving (as they refused to surrender).
- 27 September 2015 - King Penchuk abdicates in favour of a bicameral semi-presidential republic, and Proxia reverts to its original name, Scotland. The Knox-Sproul Pact is carried over, as are most Scottish treaties.

- 2 October 2015 - Numerous delegates converge on New York City to sign the New United Nations into existence. Uralica is not among them because of reforms they feel must be made for them to be a member.
- 2-14 October 2015 - the New York Accords. Eventually, certain agencies are overhauled, and the headquarters is moved to Geneva. The first concerns of the New UN mostly have to do with Africa, the Amazon, Spain, Southeast Asia, and the Caucasus.
- 9 October 2015 - Uralica and Transcaucasia sign the Treaty of Krasnodar.
- 16 October 2015 - The Second Battle of Moscow. Separatists forced from Moscow, are granted asylum in Novgorod.

- 30 October-5 November 2015- The Strasbourg Accords. Several international dignitaries come to try and work out their issues, then write down their compromises.
- 1-3 November 2015 - Ichkeria's Last Stand. Having been run out of Ingushetia and what is now back to being Nokhchynya, the Ichkerian Army makes its last stand in Anzhi-Qala (OOC: Makhachkala), refusing to surrender right down to the last man. Dagestani hero Soslan Khadzhimukhamadov takes the Ichkerian President captive, and he is sent to the reconvened International Criminal Court to be charged with crimes against humanity. Only nineteen other Ichkerian soldiers survive out of thousands, and only because they were too weak to fight back. They too were sent to the ICC
- 1 November 2015 - The All Saints' Massacre. Remaining Islamists go on the rampage in Anzhi-Qala, killing thousands of civilians.
- 5 November 2015 - The last nation signs off on the Strasbourg Accords, officially ending the Dispersion.
- 6 November 2015 - World International Sport Day. World bodies of numerous international sports reconvene! This includes the International Olympic Committee, who awards the 2016 Summer Olympics to Cape Town, Afrikaner Republic, the 2018 Winter Olympics to Sochi, Transcaucasia, the 2020 Summer Olympics to Tokyo, Japan, and the 2022 Winter Olympics to Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.
- 6-29 November 2015 - a whole host of peace and recognition treaties are signed within this period. The most important of these are the Truces of Banjul and Kaduna, the Treaty of Ouagadougou, and the Treaty of Dakar, which end the West African War of Dispersion, plus the Peace of Sochi, ending the Caucasian War, the Treaty of Port Moresby (which releases West Papua from Malay control), and the Kabul Compromise, which all but ends the War of Afghan Succession. Uzbekistan and Tajikistan remain officially at war to this day, though.
- 11-28 November 2015 - The November Coup, aka the Second Russian Revolution. Tired of authoritarian irredentism and worried about the military strength of Uralica, the armed forces turn on the Makarov regime and oust him in a short but bloody coup d'état. What remains of "Makarov's old boys' club" is handed over to the reconstituted International Criminal Court for judgement. Makarov himself is killed in fighting in Moscow.
- 17 November 2015 - Ingushetia declares independence from Ichkeria, just minutes before Ichkeria is renamed Nokhchynya and its constitution is officially adopted.
- 23 November 2015 - The Arab Schism. A number of members of the Arab League storm out of a reconvention meeting in Riyadh because they refuse to adopt the hyper-conservative Islam being peddled by the Saudi Kingdom. Those remaining in the meeting would call themselves the League of True Arabs, while several days later, those who left would form the League of Moderate Arab Countries, or LOMAC.
- 1 December 2015 - the Russian Republic is declared, and its leaders call a snap election, to be overseen by the New UN.
- 2 December 2015 - Bhutan declares war on the Strasbourg-compliant Republic of Himalaya, which was formed by referendum; Uralica (along with the CCC demands that they cease and desist or else there will be war. They also declare war on Nepal over Sikkim.

- 4-13 December 2015 - The Himalayan War. With the blessing of the New UN due to the violation of the Strasbourg Accords, the CCC sends its strongest militaries - Uralica and the New Confederacy - into Himalaya, who had asked them specifically for help because of Bhutan's "anti-Christian" policies.
- 5 December 2015 - "Complete Aerial Superiority Achieved" was the message TNC sent to the CCC as Uralica's air force completely levelled Bhutan's, such that every air facility in Bhutan, barring civilian-only airports, was reduced to rubble and scrap.
- 7 December 2015 - The Battle of Dispur. Mainly New Confederate with some Uralican input, Bhutanese troops were pushed out of the city and forced to retreat to recognised Bhutan.
- 7 December 2015 - a referendum is held in the Donbass, and the majority vote was to remain part of the Russian Republic rather than rejoin Ukraine. This sparks an exodus of Ukrainians from the area in spite of the Republic's promises that Ukrainians would be treated fairly under the Republican system.
- 9 December 2015 - The Battle of Phuntsholing. The Uralican Army had no problem overpowering the Bhutanese Army here.
- 11 December 2015 - The CCC announces its cessation as a military alliance after this war is over.
- 12 December 2015 - The Battle of Thimphu. Jarkko Salomäki himself was there, as the Mindphaser Division and four regiments of regular soldiers took Thimphu in just seven hours. Probably best known for the Uralican President's backhanded slap on the King of Bhutan. "That's for the brothers and sisters in Christ that you wanted to persecute after you illegally invaded their land!" He is recorded as saying.
- 13 December 2015 - Bhutan officially surrenders, and sends the country's prime minister to Chittagong to sign the official treaty papers.

- 5 March 2016 - The Russian Republic and Uralica sign a conciliatory statement, acknowledging past Russian wrongs against Uralics and vice versa, in a ceremony in Chalna, Karelia. Later that day, a representative from Uralica's Karelian community and a rep from Russia participated in another ceremony, where each representative threw a hatchet with their ethnicity's name on it, and buried the two hatchets.

- 15-20 March 2016 - In light of this, Uralica meets with its neighbours to begin redrawing its borders to eliminate all exclaves. Several treaties result - a renegotiated Treaty of Naberezhnye Chelny with Bashkorto-Tatarstan, the Treaty of Tobolsk with Ural-Altai and Siberia, the Treaty of Arzamas with just Novgorod, and the Treaty of Krasnoslobodsk with Russia and Novgorod concerning a specific series of exclaves and otherwise bizarre boundaries near Tengzhele, Mordovia.

- 6 April 2016 - Uralica ratifies the Treaties of Chennai, Tunis, Belém, Punta Arenas, and Yangon, recognising the five UN Trust Territories.
- 10 April 2016 - the official beginning of the New Commonwealth of Independent States. Several former CIS nations join this economic/development bloc, but some don't join right away, such as Tyva, Chukotka, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Nokhchynya. Ukraine refuses to join as long as Russia is a member. To their chagrin, Crimea does join.
- 13 April 2016 - inspired by the return of ethnolinguistic "spheres" for the worldwide promotion of certain languages and cultures, Uralica applies for associate membership in the Anglosphere and full membership in Russosfera. Both applications are accepted within days.
- 16 April 2016 - Crimea holds a Strasbourg-compliant referendum with the purpose of making clear their desire for independence. It passes with a 73% majority, with 10% wanting to join Ukraine, 9% wanting to join Russia, and 7% wanting to join Transcaucasia.

- 28 April 2016 - Turkish President Recep Erdoğan claims a "sovereign right" to defend Turks outside its borders and begins mobilising its navy for invasions of Cyprus and Crimea; the New European Union unanimously votes to blockade Turkish access to Cyprus, while Crimea asks for military assistance from NCIS members. Russia, Transcaucasia, and Uralica offer their assistance.
- 1 May 2016 - Uralica puts its Air Force on standby at the request of New EU member and Arctic Union ally, Finland.
- 2 May 2016 - The Cypriot president and prime minister fly to Uralica and take Vaido Kuik back with them.
- 3-6 May 2016 - noticing the amount of resistance to their president's declaration, Turkey's Prime Minister, Cengiz Ercanin, and several Turkish cabinet members, meet with NEU membership at Iraklio. The result is a treaty statement stating that Turkey is not allowed to invade Cyprus as they did in 1974, at risk of war with the New European Union.
- 4 May 2016 - Vaido Kuik signs the Treaty of Famagusta and sends a scan of it back to Uralica; it is ratified in an emergency meeting of the High Council.
- 5 May 2016 - A few NCIS membership representatives (Uralica, Russia, Novgorod, Ural-Altai, Transcaucasia, Bashkorto-Tatarstan, and Azerbaijan meet in Kanash and sign a unilateral defence pact with Crimea.
- 7 May 2016 - President Erdoğan fires everyone involved with the Treaty of Iraklio.
- 10 May 2016 - a New UN General Assembly meeting is called concerning Turkey's actions. Jarkko Salomäki and Vaido Kuik both attend, and both get heated with Erdoğan! Turkey's refusal to recognise Kurdistan in spite of being a signatory of Strasbourg, and its designs on two other Strasbourg-accredited nations, are the main points, although corruption in the government was also a talking point.
- 13 May 2016 - Tyva votes overwhelminghly to maintain its independence, and to join the NCIS for primarily economic reasons.
- 15-16 May 2016 - Skirmish of Kormakiti. Greek, Bulgarian, Italian, and Croatian ships arrive north of Cape Kormakiti as the Turkish invasion fleet looms. Shots are exchanged between the two forces, leading to threats of war from the EU. Erdoğan tries to hold his ground, but riots in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir the following day force him to withdraw the Turkish fleet.
- 18 May 2016 - Turkey has another close brush with war because of its Crimea fleet. Erdoğan gets faxed a copy of the Treaty of Kanash from Syktyvkar, along with the words, "Don't even think about it." He angrily phones President Salomäki only to be told that Uralican bombers are stationed in Sevastopol and Simferopol', Crimea's two largest cities. "If even one shot is fired at Crimean defences, every military airbase in Turkey is fair game for those bombers. Only warning. Now piss off." He has no other choice but to give the retreat order.
- 19 May 2016 - Turkish fleet withdraws from northern Black Sea and returns to Turkish waters.
- 20 May 2016 - The Turkish government exercises a vote of non-confidence on Erdoğan, which passes 329-270 with one abstention; an election is called.
- 29 May 2016 - Uralica signs a UDP with Vojvodina, the Treaty of Novi Sad. The two share a Hungarian connection, and Vojvodina had based its government on Uralican Neo-Tribalism.
- 12-17 June 2016 - Uralica's "African Tour" results in the signing of numerous treaties with post-Robertian CCC members - Calvinia (the remnant of Displaced Calvinists), Bembaland, Botswana, and the Zambezi Republic. They also sign a treaty with the Afrikaner Republic.
- 20 June-29 August 2016 - Uzbekistan and Tajikistan engage in open warfare. The rest of the NCIS facepalms. Jarkko Salomäki's threat to both leaders near the end of it is still on their minds to this day: "Don't make me come down there and kick both your asses!"
- 21 June 2016 - Nokhchynya and Georgia join the NCIS.
- 23-27 June 2016 - The Nusantara Incident. Seven months after the Treaty of Port Moresby and three after the resignation of Cataduanes, a militia of Javanese irredentists named the Nusantara Elite Warriors (after the Robertian alliance, which very few were actually members of) attempts to overthrow the democratically-elected Malay government and reoccupy West Papua. Uralica and Australia offer air assistance to both West Papua and the Malays, but the Malays turned down any offers for help for themselves and were able to defeat the militia on Java and in Malaya State on their own. With no air force, and outnumbered by Australian/Malay infantry on land, NEW didn't stand a chance. Uralican precision-bombers levelled the makeshift NEW headquarters near Jayapura.
- 29 June 2016 - West Papua officially merges into the Republic of Papua. Nokhchynya agrees to join the NCIS on the condition that all borders are solidified by treaty; Uralica, Russia, and Transcaucasia were present as witnesses and moderators, while Abkhazia and Georgia were not present because all of their borders were set in stone by the Peace of Sochi. The biggest part of these accords was determining the borders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, although Transcaucasia, Alania, Ingushetia (which was still independent), Dagestan, and of course Nokhchynya were also making their borders official. In the end, a compromise was reached for Armenia and Azerbaijan, where the two own up to each other's misdeeds against the other, Armenia gets Artsakh proper along with Lachin State, but only on the condition that the rights of Azeris in those provinces is upheld. All other boundaries between the nations in question are set by these accords as well - probably the most notable of these is the transfer of Mozdok District from Alania to Transcaucasia after an earlier referendum.

The most pressing issues are a growing trend of nationalism in Serbia, Bharat, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, the influence of drug cartels in Colombia and Mexico, leftist terrorism in Venezuela, the emergence of "incelism" in the Western world, the "Gaza Question," potential violations of the Treaty of Ouagadougou by the Pula Empire, activity from radical Islamist groups in East and North Africa and the Middle East, the discontiguity of the Pula Empire, continued Janjaweed activity in independent Darfur, and fears of a brewing civil war in already-fragile Somalia.

Uralican representative Menno Giesbrecht blasts the Saudi Kingdom for their support of Gaza's "state-sanctioned terrorism." The departure brings with it fresh sanctions from the New UN and the offer to every Gazawi citizen that wants to give up Gazawi citizenship and relocate elsewhere in the Middle East that they may do so at special stations set up all across the country's border with Israel-Palestine.
- 19-25 January 2017 - The Second Levantine Conflict starts because of UN emigration stations being attacked by jihadis. The Uralican ERHDC is called on to evacuate as many of those wanting to leave as possible to places out of range of Gazawi rockets, with the accompaniment of the Uralican Air Force and Navy. Other nations join in as well. 29 Uralicans died trying to evacuate Palestinian civilians. Enough cover was provided by NUN forces to allow nearly half of the overcrowded country's population to escape, with several governments taking Gazawi Palestinian refugees on after vetting; the top takers of refugees were Hijaz, Jordan, Israel-Palestine, Egypt, and Libnan whose combined totals accounted for 93% of the total refugee count. A few were also sponsored and taken in by Uralica, and given social quarters in Greater Yekaterinburg. To this day, no other attacks have come from or been launched on Gaza, but at roughly eight hundred thousand people, its population is quite thinned out relative to what it was before. A ceasefire was declared on 25 January 2017 and is still in effect. The terms of the truce state that nobody may attack Gaza, and Gaza may attack nobody.

After that dust settles, Thailand and China levy accusations against each other.

- 15 September 2017 - the New UN votes to send peacekeepers into Darfur, invoking the Fifth Turku Protocol. Sudan is visibly upset with the decision. Jarkko Salomäki's response is priceless. - 7-13 October 2017 - "The Big Sting." Hundreds of thousands of arrests made within the NCIS (especially in Russia and Transcaucasia) under the guidelines of the Turku Protocols. Several terrorist plots were uncovered and a few of the agencies in question had their online security compromised. Among the "victims" were al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab, Boko Haram (although only two Boko Haram members were actually arrested; deported to Hausa Nation for trial), the Russian Mafia, the Sicilian Mafia, and the Great Triads. 53 police officers lost their lives in the process, but that was still fewer than the number of criminals who died (483).

Yuvan Shestopalov is the one to level the criticism at both nations this time: "We will move to eject the aggressor if this conflict restarts. Both sides need to do a better job of dealing with it, but particularly Georgia." Georgia's president responds with disappointment that his country would be branded the more likely to be the aggressor, but Abkhazia, whose population is primarily Abkhazi Orthodox, made the politically unorthodox move of asking for the other NCIS nations to pray for them.

An official conclusion is also brought to the Venezuela inquest, stating that while there are leftist rebels within in the country, there is at best superficial contact between them and the government, and it's seldom on good terms. Colombia's representative calls both "Euro-American propaganda." Ever the blunt one, Jarkko Salomäki states, "If you want to prove to the contrary of the inquest, give us something concrete to go with. Otherwise, do us all a favour and shut your gob."
- 14 March 2018 - the last inquest from the group started on 17 January 2017 is concluded, showing positive progress from Mexico in their struggle against drug cartels. Numerous Islamic clerics, including a number from LTA nations (not just Kuwait and Bahrain this time, either!) harshly condemn the bombings, especially in Harar, which is considered a minor holy city in Islam.
- 26 March 2018 - reports out of Riyadh suggest internal friction within the LTA over the issue of allowing militias to be observers; Kuwait, Bahrain, Aden, and even Mauritania are said to have been critical of al-Shabaab being included.

Salomäki, a long-time hater of anti-Semitism, was invited to give a speech at the Yad Vashem that year (as was Shlomov), and he finished this speech on the need for nations to rise up against the root of genocide with the words, "This is as much the rallying cry of the post-Holocaust Jew as it is of the post-Purges Uralic, or of the post-1994 Tutsi, the Darfuri, the Uyghur, the Roma, the Assyrian, the Kurd, the Armenian, the indigenous American, or indeed, any survivor or descendant of a survivor of genocide. In our tongues, we say, ei koskaan enää... nikogda bol'she... soha többé... le'olam lo 'od... never again. And we mean it."

- 22 April 2018 - Kurukh separatists attacked by Bharati police in Jharkand, resulting in 12 deaths and a couple hundred refugee applications to Dravidia. This is decried by many nations as a violation of their constitutional right to peaceful assembly. The Bharati government's silence on the matter irks many more, including Uralica.
- 24 April 2018 - meeting of the NUN General Assembly. The Pula Empire again accuses Dogonia of having designs on its territory. The Pula Empire's representative told, "Evidence! Put up or shut up!" by Jarkko Salomäki. Gurland announces that it has renounced any claims and plans concerning the Dori enclave, and had hard copy evidence in his hands. "About damned time someone actually provided evidence of someone's actions," said Finnish Prime Minister Matti Ahola. Tibet voices concerns about Chinese activity near their border. After managing to get support from Mongolia, Vietnam, and Uyghurstan, Tibet got a little too pushy trying to coax fellow Buddhist nation Tyva into it, and got rebuked by Jarkko Salomäki for it. China counters with the offer of an open air tour of the Tibetan-Chinese border.
- 27 April 2018 - the Uralica-Mongolia Meaty Treaty. Making official a de facto policy of theirs, this somewhat punny treaty includes an open letter from Uralican Union of Meat Farmers to the country of Mongolia, stating that in the case of an emergency involving livestock, Uralican meat farmers collectively would donate up to a third of their meat to Mongolia to offset huge price spikes like the one in the winter of 2009-10.

- 3-6 May 2018 - Sarajevo Riots. Ethnic tensions finally reach their boiling point thanks to the nationalist bombing and it takes four whole days for Bosnian police to get it under control. Both sides suffer fatalities, with 228 people dying in total, but the more telling figure is that hundreds of millions of Bosnian marks' worth of damage were done.
- 6 May 2018 - Serbia declares that they will protect Serbs from "Croat and Muslim aggression" in Bosnia and Hercegovina. Even some Bosnian Serbs are reported to be worried that it's a prelude to invasion.
- 7 May 2018 - The New UN demands that Bosnia and Hercegovina hand over "any living suspects in detention" from the Sarajevo bombing, for trial in the International Criminal Court. Perhaps telling of their motives, Serbia blasts this demand.
- 11 May 2018 - The Niš Incident. Just a day after opposition parties are outlawed by Milorad Radovanović, soldiers arrest some 79 suspected resistance "plotters" in Niš, the second-largest city in Serbia. After international pressure, they are released without trial in 4 days.
- 12 May 2018 - Emergency meeting of the New UN General Assembly. Serbia is defiant, but gets roasted, especially by "Edgecrusher" Jarkko Salomäki! He even threatens them. "See this? This here is a copy of the Treaty of Novi Sad. If even one Serbian soldier is found on Vojvodinian soil for any reason other than that they were invited, it will be war. And I will personally fly into Belgrade in a bomber, land on the front law of the Serbian presidential residence, bust my way in, and smash every bone in your president's racist-ass body! Da li razumesh? " ("Do you understand?") The Serbian representative storms out. After a slight rebuke from the NUN Sec-Gen to President Salomäki, they also bring up the re-increasing hostility of Bhutan towards its neighbours; when the Bhutanese representative complains about the Himalaya War, the annoyed Secretary-General, Pierre-François Dumont, turns Jarkko loose on him. "Now this is a situation where your... direct... approach actually works." Jarkko's response is in a previous post, and so too is the response from some members of the High Council. It becomes the butt of political cartoon jokes for weeks in Uralica after this!
