Since I was making so much money from those roses, I decided to expand my house yet again. I don't really like how 'flat' this wall is, though - so I might add a little extension at some point:

Anyway, the most recent addition to the house is a proper dining room, with a drinks bar . Here's Lydia, practising her cocktail-mixing skills on it. (You'll notice I changed her hairstyle - since I wanted to make 'adult Lydia' look a bit different from 'teenage Lydia' ):

As for Cheryl... I tried to find her a new partner. The guy I went with was Don Lothario, who actually lives with Nina at the start of the game. He and Cheryl hit it off for a while; however, before long, he started flirting with Lydia instead. Naturally this led him into a fight with Cheryl:

We'll have to wait and see how this gets resolved !

Well, Ashley aged up and became a toddler . Here's Nina trying to teach her to speak (and not getting very far ):

A few more improvements to the house. I didn't add an extension, but I did expand the pool and re-arrange the garden - as well as adding an observatory, so that they can look at the stars:

Also, here are Lydia and Brooks on a date... at the library . It seems a bit odd; however, since Lydia has a job as a writer, and Brooks shares his first name with the librarian from The Shawshank Redemption, I thought it seemed like an appropriate place for them to go:

Finally, Conor had a birthday party - complete with a chocolate cake . Here he is, celebrating with Nina (who is now expecting baby number two):

I bet Ashley's looking forward to having somebody to cause mischief with ...

Well, after a long day at work, Cheryl came home exhausted, and tried to go to bed. Unfortunately, she ran out of energy just before she got there, and collapsed on the floor :

Though, once she'd recovered from that, she did get a turn holding Ashley (who can talk now ):

Now, I do realise I've been focusing almost exclusively on the Conor/Cheryl/Lydia household in the last few posts, and I've been pretty much ignoring the Kyle/Jocelyn one. However, I have also been playing that household a bit... and, Kyle's been his usual bad-tempered self. Here he is trying to throw his drink at Jocelyn (only for nothing to come out of the cup, because his drink had frozen ):

And then, he did what Kyle often does... which is go to his bedroom and cry:

I think I've done a pretty good job recreating these characters, to be honest !

Well, Conor and Nina now have a second child . It's another girl, this time called Lucy. Here she is, in Nina's arms, with Ashley snoozing away in her own bed in the background:

Meanwhile, Cheryl had a birthday party of her own. Here she is, trying her best to blow out the candles on her cake:

As you can see, it was quite well-attended. One of the guests was Don - so, Cheryl decided to try and propose to her.

She got rejected. Birthday ruined .

Meanwhile, back at home, Lydia has serious problems of her own:

Well... even though Conor and Nina have been living together for a while, and even though they have two kids... I never actually bothered to marry them . So, I did that:

As for Cheryl... she still needed a new partner, after Don rejected her. So, the following day, I decided to try setting her up with Kyle... and, it's going pretty well so far :

Unfortunately, when Conor got back from work that evening, he was a complete mess: he was exhausted and dirty, and he didn't even have the energy to walk back inside . So, he just stood out in the street - and little Ashley had to go and get him :

Since Conor isn't getting any younger, I wouldn't be surprised if this scenario becomes a little more common !

Well, Ashley aged up again . She's a child now - and here she is learning how to play chess (or maybe she's still too young to know how, and she's just admiring the pieces... I don't know ):

Nina also had a birthday and aged up. Here she is, with her mother Katrina:

Meanwhile, Cheryl seems to be having more luck with Kyle than with Don. She went on a date with him - not to the library this time, but to a night club. During the daytime, because reasons .

Anyway, they ended up sitting outside, and kissing on a bench:

Lydia, on the other hand, hasn't been on any more dates. Instead, she's been staying at home, and fulfilling her social needs by talking to her plants:

Ashley may be a child; however, Lucy's still a toddler, and she's still getting up to mischief. Here she is, playing in one of the bins:

Now, a bit of a sad one. Conor's getting old, and coming to the end of his life, so I'm clearing out his inventory and giving his stuff to his family members. Here, I'm giving his upgrade parts to Lydia:

As for Cheryl... she got over her rejection by Don, and decided to try proposing to Kyle:

He said yes !

Lydia dosen't seem to have too much luck on the game. At least she's getting some upgrade parts soon.

Indeed, she doesn't have very much luck . But, she's certainly not alone in that regard: most of the others have had bad things happen to them too, whether it's peeing themselves (Conor), getting rejected on their birthday (Cheryl), or embarrassing themselves in a confrontation with their housemate (Kyle) .

On a happier note, Cheryl and Kyle did get married . I didn't take them to anywhere fancy: I just held the wedding by their front door (with Conor and Jocelyn watching the ceremony from the garden):

After the wedding was over, Kyle moved in with Cheryl and all the rest of them. In order to give Kyle something to do, I set up a woodworking bench, where he's currently honing his skills by sculpting a wooden horse:

In the end, he actually did quite a good job . I put his creation in his and Cheryl's bedroom, on the bedside table:

Sadly, things aren't going so well for little Ashley (I told you everyone's had bad things happen to them, and now it's her turn ). This time, she's got scared of a monster under her bed... and, Conor's having to comfort her:

Fortunately, the monster isn't real... or, at least, I hope it isn't !
