As a member of one of the most famous and glamorous families on the planet, Khloe Kardashian is rarely pictured looking less than a million dollars.

The TV star and social media influencer and her team usually know how to produce the impossibly perfect image.

So after an unfiltered picture was shared to her social media "by mistake" they were keen to have it taken down.

They have asked social media platforms to remove it, although their efforts have spurred others to repost it.

The natural-looking family photo showed the 36-year-old by a pool in a bikini.

I have two words for her: Streisand Effect. This is literally the exact same thing that Barbra Streisand did: back in 2003, she tried to have a photo of her house removed from the internet, but her efforts attracted a load of media attention, and resulted in way more people viewing the photo than otherwise would have done.

I expect this will go exactly the same way. Even if Kardashian does eventually succeed at getting this photo taken down, it'll be a hollow victory, because all the damage will have been done by that point.

Yeah. Any member of the Kardiashian-Jenner clan would do anything for fame. Although we can't say for sure whether the leak was intentional or not, it wouldn't surprise me if you were right.

OK of all the things I know about the internet there's one thing I know to be true.

Once it's on the internet, it exists somewhere in some form, either because it's been downloaded somewhere, copied somewhere, etc etc.

the only way to truly remove something, be it a document, or a picture, or a song from the internet completely with no backups is to use some kind of worm to locate and delete it, something which is innocuous but can infect systems and only does the following.
First, Spread to a system
Second, Locate the offending file or files or information
Third, replicate and spread to other systems
fourth, self destruct.

in theory you could delete said picture this way but you'd have no luck hitting something like a CD backup or an offline server or something...

good thing our world is usually always online these days huh?
