Dinosaurs did migrate over hundreds of miles.

True - but, I was wondering, what was it seeking out in the desert?

(Then again, it evidently died there - so, whatever it was seeking out, it clearly can't have found it :( ...)

Desert happened to be in the way while he/she was migrating.

Well, from deserts to rivers now. Apparently, six new species of bristlenose catfish have been discovered in museum collections:

https://www.independent.co.uk/environmen...71186.html

These fish would have lived in the Guiana Shield region of the Amazon (around Venezuela, Colombia and Guyana). I hope they're not extinct now - although, given that us humans aren't exactly taking good care of the Amazon, I am worried :( ...

Oh, that's cool. They're probably gone, sadly. :(

I hope they're not all gone :( . Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of them were, but I am hoping at least one will show up again.

Now, just to show that new species can be found anywhere, a new species of frog has been found in a roadside puddle:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-47208169

It's not just a new species, but a new genus - which has been named 'Mysticellus' (Latin for 'Mysterious and diminutive'). They only come out for about four days per year (for breeding), which I guess explains why they've gone unnoticed for so long!
