Marlow practically had to drag Duane to the other room, standing in front of the doorway until he got fed up.

"Pull yourself together!" he finally exclaimed. "Where's your sense of decency?"

[Kyng]

Of course, the girls could hear Duane's whinging from in their own room - but, Cheryl wisely decided to ignore him.

"Do you have any way you could prank him?" she whispered to Chloe. "Just to get back at him for being so annoying..."

[Megan]

Chloe shrugged. “I dunno. I’m kinda used to it.”


Duane crossed his arms pouting. “Oh please, what’s the big deal anyway?”

[Pyrite]

Marlow simply sighed at Duane. "Well the decision is made now. So I suggest you get some sleep."

[Kyng]

In the end, Cheryl gave up on the pranking idea, and simply went to sleep. It was a bit of a struggle, as she overheard Duane making several improper remarks about her in the other room - but, in the end, she was able to nod off.

The following morning, however, she really didn't want to confront Duane. "Reckon we should sneak out to breakfast on our own?" she whispered to Chloe.

Chloe yawned half awake. “Huh? Isn’t that kinda mean?”


Duane meanwhile was still asleep snoring loudly.

Marlow, of course, could hardly sleep at all due to Duane's snoring. He had long since gotten up and gone downstairs for breakfast, which today was a pot of tea and scrambled eggs.

[Kyng]

"Not really," Cheryl argued. "And even if it was... after how he's treated me, I honestly wouldn't care! Now, I'm going down - and you can come with me if you want ."

Cheryl turned away, and headed downstairs to join Marlow - who was busy tucking into a plate of freshly-scrambled eggs. While these weren't her favourite, she couldn't deny that she was a little tempted.

"Good morning !" Cheryl greeted her. "Do they have fried eggs, by any chance?"

Chloe hesitated before following after Cheryl. She winced as she headed down as she could still hear Duane still snoring away.
