"It's still light, isn't it?" Marlow said, approaching the girls as they stopped at the fork. "We can head deeper into the forest for now, then retrace our steps to the town when the sun begins to set."

"Okay... that makes sense ," Cheryl agreed, with a nod. "Though, part of me thinks Duane is too chicken to go into the forest, especially alone . Knowing him, he's probably gone to the nearest inn to get a drink... if they'll let him. So, maybe we should try there?"

Funny enough Cheryl's guess was right. Duane had headed to the town and gone to the inn to visit the bar. The barkeep had lucky for him thought he was a bit older then he was and currently he was getting himself rather drunk.
