Since it's been a while since I've done a limerick contest, it's time for another one :) !

For this contest, all you need to do is write a limerick, i.e. a short poem obeying the following pattern:

Example limerick Wrote:They have five lines, so they're quite fast;
The second line rhymes with the first and last;
Line three rhymes with line four;
And there's not any more;
For me to explain here, so have a blast!

In addition, each limerick contest has a theme - and this time, the theme is food. Doesn't matter what kind of food: it can be a food you love, a food you hate, or even an attempt to eat something that isn't food :lol: .

Other rules are as follows:

  • Each member may submit up to three limericks (however, only one will count towards the final results);
  • All limericks must be food-themed, and must be your own work;
  • The contest closes on Sunday, 21st June 2020 at 11:59pm GMT. After this, a poll will be held to determine the winner, and the prizes will be:
    • 1st place: 1000 Coffee Credits (+ a Rosettepink Pink Ribbon, if at least 3 people enter, and the winner is at least 2 votes ahead of the 2nd-placed entry);
    • 2nd place: 500 Coffee Credits;
    • 3rd place: 250 Coffee Credits.

Good luck - and have fun :) !

Jogging is a great way to relieve stress and let out energy.
You may get thirsty while jogging so fast.
Make sure to bring a bottle of water. You'll need one to rehydrate.
Take your water bottle, and head on outside to jog.
Jogging is a great way to feel relaxed afterwards.

I'm afraid that isn't a limerick :( .

Take notice of the rhyming pattern in the first post: the first and second lines rhyme with each other; the third and fourth lines rhyme with each other; and the fifth line rhymes with the first two.

Hope that makes things clearer :) .

One day, I took a look at the tall bookshelf in my bedroom.
The bookshelf lay in front of the wall attached to the enterance door.
I walked over to the bookshelf, then picked out a book.
I took a look at the book's pages.
But I heard a quick call my from my dad, so I ran into my house's hall.

Still not a limerick, I'm afraid. (Also nothing to do with the theme of the contest, which is food)

Take a look at the last words of the five lines in the example: fast, last, four, more, and blast. 'Fast' rhymes with 'last'; 'four' rhymes with 'more'; and 'blast' rhymes with 'fast' and 'last'.

Hopefully that explains things :) .

I decided to make some rice.
But I decided to add a nice spice.
I went to my bookshelf to take off a book.
The books was about how to be a good rice cook.
I decided the rice should be diced.
