One from University Challenge:

Quote:Q: 2021 marked the centenary of the inauguration of which US President?
A: Joe Biden

I know he's old, but... he's not quite that old -_- !

I don't know whether or not this was worse than the previous answer, but... Headdesk

Well, something similar happened on The Chase today:

Quote:Q. Whose funeral in 1806 was the first to be illustrated in The Times?
A. Margaret Thatcher

So... Thatcher was born in 1925; was on the throne in 1900; and died in 1806  . Okay...

Here's one from Noel's House Party - which had a segment called "Grab a Grand".

The following video shows how this segment is supposed to work. The contestant gets into a large perspex box with fans on the floor; Noel posts a bunch of banknotes into the box (totalling to £1,000); and the contestant has to grab as many as they can within the time limit:

However, when snooker player John Parrott played this game, he simply cheated at it. He used his coat to cover the fans - and then, when Noel posted the money through, he grabbed it right out of his hand  :

The funny thing is, there was nothing in the rules to stop him from doing this, so he got away with it Rofl !!! (Of course, new rules were immediately put in place to stop anyone else from pulling the same trick - but, it was too late to stop him :P !)

On Pointless Celebrities today, the contestants simply had to name a UK city that comes alphabetically between Cardiff and Swansea.

The first contestant gave the answer... 'Bristol'.

Then, when it was her partner's turn to answer, he said... 'Bradford'.

Once was bad enough, but twice??? That deserves a Headdesk .

There is bound to be some craziness on this February 2000 episode of Hollywood Squares.  Let Me introduce you to the "Gang of Nine"

CENTER --In the Center Square: Whoopi Goldberg
CENTER RIGHT -- From The Lethal Weapon Movies: Danny Glover
CENTER LEFT -- Writer and Comedian: Bruce Villanch
BOTTOM LEFT -- Comedian: Doug E. Doug
UPPER RIGHT -- Music Legend: Ms. Patti LaBelle

It's Second Chance time on Hollywood Squares where two contestants who failed to win ANYTHING has a second opportunity to get a "Tic-Tac-Toehold" on the game.  Watch out for Whoopi hosting Act 3 in this one!

One from "Game Show Bloopers"

Most of these have Penn Jillette continuing the gag he started and Gilbert Gottfried immortalized:

Rofl

Wow, that first one was a bit painful to watch... but it's a bit of a relief to know that poor geographical knowledge has always existed, and it isn't just a recent thing  !
