'Then and Now' comparisons

As the world's economy has grown over the years, and as our societies have evolved and changed, the skylines of our greatest cities have also transformed - some of them quite radically. The following video, from YouTube channel B1M, shows some of the most dramatic examples of this (and also looks at how these cities might change in the future):

Next up, we have the British Union of Fascists headquarters in Durham in 1934. When the second picture was taken, in 2020, it had become a kebab shop :

Detroit in 1882, and 2017:



Rather sad . Not only because it illustrates the decline of the city itself, but those old buildings would've been beautiful when they were new, and in good condition!
