Once upon one December, Yusei was out looking around town, searching for his best friend Queen's Christmas gift. He'd gotten every gift for every one else; except for her. Realizing this; he had to fine her the perfect gift: the Marina doll. It was from a holiday movie that his best friend had seen & loved. The movie was a hit; the problem was is that the toys for the characters were sold out. Especially her favorite Marina; whom he had hoped to find a doll of. But as the days passed; getting closer & closer to Christmas it looked like he wasn't going to be able to find one.
Marina's doll had been moved the day after she was placed on the toy shelf with all of the other dolls; to the Christmas isle. Getting out of her box at night she would talk to the angels on the shelf she was left on & they would tell her that their purpose as angels; as far as they knew, was for them to be the center of attention at the top of the tree. Many of them couldn't wait to be bought in order to be the main attraction on top of some one's tree; thus Marina couldn't either. Because to Marina; she thought herself as an angel since she was in the same isle with them. But some made fun of her. "Your not dressed to be an angel at all. You'll never be at the top of any one's Christmas tree."
"But why can't I be an angel? I've seen many different Angel's get sold left & right." Marina huffed; but it only made the angels laugh; "Your only fooling yourself." And as the days passed by; Marina began to wonder if they were right.
"I can't give up hope." Marina told to herself. "I have to have faith that some one; some where is searching.. Just for me."
It wasn't until the day before Christmas that Yusei found Queen's gift; & as he searched through the dolls; none of them stood out to him.. Until; he came across the Marina doll he had searched all over town for.
"Finally!" Yusei beamed; "I can't believe I found the last one! I can't wait to give her to Queen."
Tucking Marina under his arm; he stopped by the wrapping department to get the doll specially wrapped & paid for her on his way out. Yusei couldn't believe his luck; as he happily made his way home to place her under his tree until the day he could give his gift to his best friend in person.
Marina was beyond elated. She had finally been bought by some one. Not only that but she was going to be given by that person to some one else as a gift. Some of the other ornaments such as Santa's or nutcrackers explained to her that some times angels, & ornaments are bought & given as gifts to people for their tree. That year they wouldn't be on a tree; but the next they were sure they were bound to be one one.
Marina awoke to some one that tore into the wrapping around her box. Then next; the box around her came open & she was looking at the face of a young woman. Queen beamed happily to hug her doll & then hold onto her tightly around her waist as she hugged her friend around his neck.
"Oh Yusei; she's so beautiful." Queen told him happily. Yusei just laughed; "Well I knew you wanted her so I looked every where for her." Smiling he hugs her & says; "Merry Christmas."
Marina was so happy; the tree was beautiful; & stood about 6 feet tall; or even taller! The ceiling was a good 10 feet high & as she looked to the top of the tree; she noticed that no angel was up there. Just a dove; Marina was thrilled.
"I can't wait until next year; when I'll be on top of that beautiful tree. I just have to wait another year; it shouldn't be too hard."
At least that's what Marina thought.
As the days passed she made friends with Queen's toys. So the toys knowing Marina's wish to become an angel made her into a one. They had gathered together clothes from the other dolls & eventually they changed her into the Angel clothes. Once changed; Marina looked just like one. "All of you are so kind to help me achieve my dream, thank you."
All of the toys were just happy that they helped her; since she was kind to them. Thus eventually; it was Christmas Eve. That very night; all of the toys gathered together & placed Marina on top of the Christmas tree.
As the day started; Marina was thrilled. She had finally achieved her goal; she was on top of the tree & it was glorious. But; as she looked down she noticed that they were either bulbs or lights; leaving Marina all alone at the top of the tree. She missed seeing what her friends were doing; & having some one to talk to. At the end of the day; Marina was done. When the toys got her down & shared their day with her she only hugged them & told them the dove could have it's spot back.
"I can't stand being up there for so long on my own.. It's too lonely up there for me; not to have my friends or any one to talk to. So from now on I think that being an angel is best left to the birds."
Her friends all laughed, hugging her tightly; & in that moment it's when Marina realized that it was just best to be herself & not try to be any one else. Even if that meant that she wasn't meant to be on the top of a Christmas tree.

Twas the morning of Christmas
And all through a mutt’s home
Only one creature was stirring
As he set up his smartphone
He was hoping to take
Multiple new pictures for friends
So he set up a tripod
And quickly focused the lens.
He opened the phone app
And figured ten seconds was long enough
And then looked around
For all sorts of festive props and stuff
He plugged in the Christmas tree,
The white lights shining bright
And the plushies of Mickey, Minnie and Scooby
Their eyes reflecting off of the colored light
Quickly checked over his suit in a hurry
Brushing fur flat with his comb in a flurry
Everything just had to look perfect for this shot
And he better hurry - its getting awful hot!
I hit the button on the smartphone app
And it started counting down, quick as a snap!
I popped in front of the camera quick as ever
Smiling inside feeling that I was so clever
Multiple shots were taken, one after one
I held my pose still, this was so fun!
I checked the pictures quickly and then gave out a groan
I held a prop the wrong way and practically threw the phone
Resetting the app I tried once again
I really wanted to send this picture to friends!
It counted down again, and this time I was ready
Prop in the right place, my body and head steady.
I checked the pictures this time,
And I smiled inside the head as they were totally fine
And I’m very pleased to share
One of those photos taken with love and care!
I smile at everyone as I call out in a hurry
Merry Christmas to all from this friendly furry!!!

It was close to four o’clock on the 21st of December. I had just returned from eighth grade at Coral Springs Middle School. I hurried up the stairs and into my bedroom. I closed my door and quickly got into the gray colored bag I had carried home. In it was the gift I had for my stepbrother, Brian Nichols. His dad married my mom last year in a huge ceremony.
I sat down at my desk and pulled out of my bag Brian’s gift. It was a gorgeous blue colored bomber jacket. I smiled as I gazed at it. I knew he’d love it. I also pulled out a silver colored Rolex watch. It was also for Brian.
My name is Jessica Davidson. I am fourteen and in ninth grade at the Middle School. I had gone shopping with my best friend, Megan Reynolds right after school with her brother, Zack and picked up Brian’s gifts. Our friendship is still pretty brand new this year but we got close pretty fast. You see, Megan has been the target of bullies since the day she started school here because of my former friends, Shauna Daniels and her best friend, Chelsea Reardon.
Using the wrapping paper from my closet and the transparent tape from my desk, I managed to wrap both gifts in record time. I was very excited for Brian to open them. Our family opens our gifts on Christmas Eve, which was still four days away. I had a small size Christmas Tree set up in the corner of my bedroom right next to my closet so I set both gifts underneath it. Beside it was two more which were already wrapped. Both of those were for Megan. My parents’ gifts were under the big tree in the family room down stairs.
Brian is sixteen and very interested in sports as well as girls. I know. That sounds funny, yet normal for a teenage boy. He also recently told his dad, Josh he wants to join the police academy out of high school and become a cop when he graduates high school. I was overwhelmed to say the least, considering its exactly what my own dad did.
I shook myself from my thoughts as soon as I heard the front door close shut. It was either Brian or Josh who was home. Mom usually is working late at the local Bistro serving meals. She does this a lot since it’s the one job she has always loved. She went to a fancy cooking academy right before my dad died. She decided she wanted to do more than just be a stay-at-home mom. I think she is awesome for doing it, honestly. She is following her dreams and I love her for it!
I was tapping away at my desktop computer when a soft knock could be heard on my door. I smiled and said, “Come in, Josh.” I turned as I saw him walk in chuckling. “What’s up?
“Your mom is working late tonight so I thought we could order out for dinner.” He said. He saw me laugh and knew what I was thinking. “I know. I can’t even cook water without burning it.”
“So what should we order?” I asked. “Chinese or Mexican?” I purposely didn’t suggest either pizza or burgers. I get them through the week in school and I was sick of them for the time being.
“Chinese food should be here in half an hour. I know its your favorite.” He said. He shot me a loving smile, so I knew something was up. Sensing how guarded I seemed, he pulled a folded up paper from his back pocket. It was an adoption paper. “I hope you’re okay with this. I wanted to surprise you.”
Tears of joy filled my eyes. “Oh my Gosh! You want to adopt me?!” This was such a shocker! I secretly have wanted this from the day they got married and Brian knew it. This will make him my brother instead of stepbrother. Something dawned on me, which forced me to look into his eyes and ask, “What has Brian said about this?”
Josh laughed and said, “Who do you think got me the paperwork so quickly? I wanted to do this in time for Christmas.” He then reached out and we hugged tightly. “I do hope you’ll feel comfortable calling me Dad.”
“Of course I do!” I said as tears spilled down my cheeks. “You have been great to me and Mom. Brian has, too. We love you both!” “Merry Christmas, Daddy.”
He smiled and hugged me tighter as he answered with, “Merry Christmas, Sweetheart.”
We met Brian down stairs. He had come inside with Dad. We sat around the livingroom munching on our food as soon as it arrived and we filled our plates. It was a nice relaxing evening filled with fun and memories.

Entry #3
Ash Ketchum rushed down the long hallway of stairs that led to the colossal living room. It was finally Christmas! He’d finished his journey in Alola and planned on spending Christmas sat home with his mum and Pokémon. Ash had gotten dressed quite quickly, then had headed downstairs to greet his mum and Pokémon.
The living room had a light wooden floor, a TV and a huge Christmas tree in the corner.
Ash’s mum was sitting on a velvet sofa in the living room. She was looking very jolly and drinking a warm cup of coffee. She’d woken up early and prepared a huge breakfast for Ash. She didn’t get to cook for him much anymore, due to him always being off on his adventures in other regions.
There was a long table that was adorned with a variety of fruit, breads, vegetables, rice, pasta and much else. Ash didn’t waste a minute in sitting down, eating as much food as he could in one mouthful, leaving Delia to chuckle to herself.
“Good thing I made plenty of food this morning,” she thought to herself.
“Merry Christmas, Mum!” Ash cheered. “Thanks for the food!” Ash praised with a plate full of food in front of him.
“Merry Christmas, Ash! It’s lovely that you’re home for Christmas this year.
“Yeah, it feels nice to be back for a couple of weeks,” he replied while slowly finishing off the food he was eating.
Once Ash had finished eating his delicious breakfast, he jogged over to the window on the far side of the living room, then he took a glance from outside it and into the field that stood opposite his battered house. The tree’s branches swayed gently in the soft breeze, providing a constant, quiet rustle. The sky was now slowly getting covered with depressing clouds.
Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the front door. Ash sprinted over to the battered door, the door to the house slowly parted with a creek, revealing it to be his best friend, Dawn.
Dawn had a pastel red coat on, a pair of black tracksuit joggers on, which was overtopped with a pale pink skirt. On her feet, where a bright pink pair of boots. Her bright blue hair was lying loose and being topped with her usual white beanie. Suddenly, a huge smile appeared on Ash’s face, Ash and Dawn instantly gave each other a huge hug.
“Dawn, it’s so amazing to see you again!” Ash exclaimed.
“Merry Christmas, Ash! I decided to come over here and spend some Christmas time with you” Dawn explained, “My mum is currently at the hotel that we’re staying at over here.”
“Come in at make yourself at home,” Delia said, as she rushed over to the door to shake Dawn’s hand. Before stepping into the kitchen to prepare the Christmas lunch.
Dawn stepped inside, took off her clucky red coat, revealing that she was wearing a dark green Christmas jumper with a picture of a pokeball on it. Dawn then took off her pale-yellow bag, fiddled around in it for a bit, then produced a square shaped green package.
“Here’s my gift to you, Ash” Dawn told him, smiling. Dawn then took out the gift that Ash had sent her last week. She bought it with her so they could open their gifts to each other together.
“Thanks, Dawn.” He told her, “I wonder what this gift is,” he wondered, while shaking the package gently. Ash began to slowly un-wrap the gift, he wasn’t sure what it was. He suddenly saw a cardboard-style box underneath the sparkly wrapping paper. It soon revealed to be a brand-new Dec console. It was a device that you could connect to a regular pokedex, so you could play video games on your pokedex, do drawings, send messages to friends. It was something he’d dreamed of having for a while.
“Thank you so much, Dawn,” Ash exclaimed, while taking the device out of its box and having a look at glossy design of it.
“You’re welcome, Ash. Now it’s time for me to open my gift from you.” Dawn slowly began to unwrap the shimmering pink wrapping paper. Underneath the paper was a picture, but not just an ordinary picture, but a picture of a watch, wait a second, this isn’t a picture, it’s a box for the pokewatch 5.0. It’s a watch that had games, apps, so many features.
Dawn’s face beamed with excitement when she saw her gift, she then leapt at Ash, giving him a huge hug. “Thank you, Ash, I needed this new pokewatch so much – due to my old one cracking when I slipped over and landed on my arm last month.”
“I knew you needed a new one, so that’s how I got the idea to get you that as a Christmas present,” Ash explained while returning Dawn’s hug.
“Ash, I’ve always admired you and thought you were a handsome, inspiring and generous person. I’ve always gained inspiration from you, and I love it when we work together as a team. Ash, what I’m trying to say is… I love you and have feelings for you.” Dawn said while stuttering a bit.
“Dawn, I’ve had feelings for you for a while, whenever we worked as a team, I could feel how strong our bond and teamwork is, plus, you’re one of the people I trust more than anybody else in the world. You’re the nicest person I’ve travelled with. I love you too, Dawn.” Ash explained.
“Now here’s your main present;” With that, Dawn and Ash gave each other a passionate kiss, they stood with their arms wrapped around each other tightly. Kissing for a solid minute, before separating for air.
“This is the best Christmas present ever!” Ash cheered.
“Agreed!” Dawn replied.
