Book Club ?

I like the idea in principle, but the members base here is so eclectic that I can't imagine getting us to agree on any book to read.

Okay, I think it's time I just closed this.

It's very clear that no book club is actually going to be created - because nobody is presenting any workable plans to form such a club. (And besides, the thread was started over three years ago: if this proposal was ever going to get off the ground, then it would surely have done so by now)

If anybody wants to discuss book clubs that they are/were a member of, then by all means start a new thread for that. Or if anybody can present a proper plan for a book club (and not just a vague thought), then I'm happy for them to do so in a new thread. But the thread in its current form is clearly not going anywhere, so I think it's time to lock it.
