Over the years, we've experienced a lot of memorable moments as a community: some happy, some stressful, some proud, and some frankly a bit embarrassing. However, today marks probably the proudest occasion of all - as The Coffee House officially turns 10 years old. It's quite a stunning milestone - and it's hard to know what to say that would do it justice. The 19-year-old university student version of me from December 2009 certainly wouldn't have known what to say - but then, he didn't have ten whole years to prepare for this, whereas I have . So, all I'll say is that this is not something I could ever have done alone: it is the result of the hard work of a great many people over the years. This includes everyone who's posted and contributed on the forums over the years - our including long-time members who have been loyal for years; our early members who have long since moved on; and also our new faces which have emerged more recently. So, whether you've been along for the whole ride, or you've only been here for the past month or two, I'd like to thank you all for your part in making this possible .
Now, by way of celebration, I have already handed out gifts of 1,000 Coffee Credits to everybody who has signed in over the past five days. I understand that this is a lot; however, it's not every day that the community turns a decade old . It'll be followed up with series of exciting additions and announcements over the following week - so, stay tuned for more!
Thanks again to everyone who has been a part of the Imperial Forum (and, subsequently, The Coffee House) over the past ten years !
