[Earth 5.0]
Spoiler
Three Thousand Years after current events, humanity has peaked in terms of science and technology. Space Faring Technology came a long way, but the game changer was the miracle found in Terra Forming Science. With a way to make the planets of the solar system home, we flock from our ancestral planet in search of new conquests and possibilities.
Earth as we known it has become overcrowded, overpopulated, and polluted over time. Mother Nature however knows no master, and the climate responded in massive cataclysm. Rising sea levels, earthquakes and tsunamis, and the Earth's natural progression in tectonic functions has devastated nearly all coastal cities, islands, and shorelines around the globe!
Humanity's social structure has also changed with the tides of the planet. With the rich and wealthy finding major inland areas far more stable and appealing than what was once considered a luxury of beach front property.
Now the homeless and poor rummage through the ruins of coastal cities. Carving out a meek existence from the dust and polluted waters.
It is these events that have caused a boom in Space Travel - not as an achievement but as a necessity.
As the new Terran Empire expands its way through Sol, our home solar system, a new set of power structures arise. Based off representation, the Terran Senate sits as the highest authority outside of Earth's governing nations.
This Senate is made up of Representatives of Earth's Factions, and meetings are led by the Terran Prime Minister.
Planetary Senators - Senators representing the Nations of Earth. Similar to a UN Rep, but more the eyes and ears for nations back home to find out what's going on in the colonies beyond Earth, and to see if the nations would be effected by any new laws, tariffs, and legislature.
Allied Colonial Representatives - As the Terran Empire expands, so does its colonies. Many colonies setting up on moons, large asteroids, space stations, and more spring up. When building a colony, they have the choice to remain under Terran Rule or to become solely sovereign. These Representatives speak for the allied colonies.
Independent Colonial Representatives - Despite choosing to become sovereign and free of Terran Rule, the colonies of the Independents are still made up of a majority of humans, and so by de facto of population, the Independents can send Representatives to the Terran Senate to have a say in their territories. Granted they pay hefty fees to the Terran Empire to upkeep the position.
Earth Coalition Defense Force - The combined military might of the Terran Empire and major peacekeepers within the borders of the Terran Empire's Territories. While the armed forces of Earth answer to their country of origin, the ECDF answers only to the Senate, and is the largest fighting force in human history. Spanning forwarding bases, supply depots, training facilities and academies all throughout the solar system, they are the sword and shield of humanity.
As such, they have a seat in the Senate and have a say in Terran Affairs.
Terran Prime Minister - The most powerful person in the Terran Empire. Is the Head and meeting leader of the Terran Senate, and is elected once every 10 years. Acts as the Executive Branch of the Empire.

[An Oath to Order - The Champion's Ballad]
Spoiler
A God once fragmented themselves into raw energy and concentrated those energies into six beings of sentience.
He sealed away these beings in far off alters scattered throughout multiple planes of existence, and in doing so created cryptic messages and ciphers that only the worthy could solve. These clues would lead the chosen on a pilgrimage to inherent the powers of creation itself, in exchange for an eternity of servitude in keeping the threads of reality and the planes of all-creation balanced.
If one accepted the contract, they would be bestowed one of the sentient energies and gain magical power respective of the being. This would lead the individual on the path to becoming, a Champion. It would then fall upon them to obtain the other five, and become a full fledged Champion in service to the Sentient Six.
A wind of caution to this however - one can refuse the contract once offered, but they may only refuse it once. For their memories of the clues and ciphers will be ripped from them before being safely teleported to their home.
But even more scary is if one accepts and then breaches their accepted contract, their soul is forfeit and it will become shattered and absorbed by the Sentient Six.
A Champion is the servant of the Gods. Once they have claimed all six sentient energies - Water, Wind, Earth, Fire, Light, and Dark, they become powerful Demi-Gods capable of powerful magic.
They are invulnerable to everything of mortal means. Swords, Guns, Lasers, Arrows, etc. cannot harm them. Poisons and Venom do not work either. Nay, in order to combat a Champion, one must be of magical persuasion.
Furthermore they are capable of tearing and closing rifts in reality. Allowing them to warp in and out on a whim. They can transform themselves into any shape or creature in order to blend in with their natural surroundings.
As a rule they do not interfere with mere mortal conflicts such as war or genocides. They uphold and protect the cosmos from Entities beyond our imagination. Fighting demons, demi-gods, and even Gods themselves in a struggle for ultimate balance in the astral and physical planes of existence.
The struggle of the Champions is a never ending eternal one.

[The Grand World of Ashmere]
Spoiler
The Goddess Astatina slayed the creature known as The Celestial Dragon, and with his heart still beating in her hands, squeezed the power known as Aether into the cosmos. Aether, with its fertile ribbons, gave birth to the barren planet.
Astatina then descended from the heavens onto this newly formed world, and called upon the Celestial Dragon's servants, whom bowed in respect at their new master.
"With your great power, guard and care for my new creation."
Faelius, the Ruby Dragon, then took to the planet's core and with a cloak of fire, heated the cold rock of Ashmere to give it climate. His flames melting rock and spewing molten earth.
Bhorn, the Amber Dragon, shook Ashmere with his giant steps and created the mountains and valleys in his wake, before burrowing beneath the largest mountain and going to watchful slumber.
Volk, the Sapphire Dragon, conjured a never ending storm to cool the molten land, fill its valleys, and create the rivers, seas, and lakes we know today. His job complete, he hid away in the tallest mountain where the tallest waterfall gives way to all the water of the world.
Yuel, the Diamond Dragon, flew around the world, his pace ever faster and faster until he pulled from Volk's work the water of the world and transformed the vast sky into its beautiful shades of blue and to create the clouds themselves. They say Yuel then became the brightest star in the sky, The Diamond Star, watching over us in his slumber.
Her bidding followed, and tasks complete, Astatina took with her the Celestial Dragon's Heart, and became the Sun. Giving warmth and life to her newly formed world.
It is here where we live, child. Where we praise the Sun Goddess and her Dominion over the Celestial Dragon.
But one did not expect the Celestial Dragon to leave upon us its influence...
When Aether spilled from its heart, the ribbon-like strands of power intertwined with the fates of the people, and a number of Ashmere's inhabitants are born with Aether in their blood, and are capable of performing and mastering the mystic arts, where others cannot.
Some see this as Astatina's Blessing, while some view it as the Celestial Dragon's Curse.
Who is to say who is wrong, and who is right?
