I had a case of the Mandela Effect earlier today.

I'm sure I remember hearing about the death of Alexander Lukashenko (the President of Belarus). However, I just checked his Wikipedia page, and it turns out he's alive and well - and still in power.

(And, no, I'm not getting him mixed up with Alexander Litvinenko, who was assassinated in 2006. I 'remember' Lukashenko passing away around 2015-16, but evidently he didn't!)

As far as I remember, the 7 Wonders of the World are: Eiffel tower, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Colosseum, Pyramid, Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China and the Statue of Liberty. That's because I have seen them multiple times in books, on TV and everyone talked about them - and only in reference to these particular 7 places.

Apparently, I can't search up any "7 Wonders" list that had ever contained these 7 places now. Mandela Effect? :O

Possibly :P

Although, that would be a pretty decent list of the '7 Wonders of the Modern World'. I kind of feel like the list of wonders needs updating, given that six of the original seven don't even exist any more!

(In fact, we had a thread along those lines on our old forum. I guess I ought to cross-post it; thanks for reminding me about it :P !)

Here's another example I just thought of:

I'm sure I remember hearing that, whenever tennis player Novak Djokovic bounces his ball before serving, the number of times he bounces it is always a prime number. He might bounce it 7 times, or 11, or 13, or 17 - but never 9, or 12, or 15 or 16.

I put this to the test by counting the number of times he bounced the ball before a few of his serves - and, sure enough, the first couple were prime numbers. However, on his third serve, he bounced the ball 14 times: not a prime number. The next few weren't prime either - so, if anyone did tell this to me, they were either messing with me or didn't know what they were talking about -_- .

However, it's most likely a false memory that I just made up  .

I'm sure I remember hearing about the death of newsreader Michael Buerk a few years ago. This one actually has a Mandela connection, because he was the BBC's South Africa correspondent during the final years of apartheid :P .

But, happily, he's still alive and well - and he's hosting the historical documentary that I'm watching right now!

I'm convinced that the "Survivor" achievement in Ball Revamped 5 was "Die less than 50 times before the final boss fight". However, when I re-played that game recently, the condition was "Die less than 100 times" (including deaths in the final boss fight).

It's possible that there were multiple versions of the game, and the "100 deaths" one was the one that found its way onto Flashpoint. However, it's also possible that my memory is playing tricks on me  .

I think I'm having another false memory. Not sure if it counts, but here goes.

I remembered a pizza place that closed down, then it became a Mexican restaurant and eventually that closed down, then it became something else, but I forgot what it was.

I'm wondering what the heck am I remembering?

I remember pisces being spelled pices.
Whats even crazier is my right knee went into slight immediate pain when I wrote this.

Interesting one; don't think I've ever come across that :P .

However, I am convinced that the theme tune to the Wombles contained a reference to strawberries and cream. I haven't been able to find a version of the theme tune with this line, and I only remember hearing it once; however, I do remember it quite clearly  !
