YouTube first started out in 2005 - and, within a year, it had become a household name. By the end of 2006, it had been bought out by Google - and, while many people aren't happy with all the changes they've made, YouTube has maintained its position as unquestionably the world's most largest and most successful video site. So, what was the first video you ever saw on it?
Back in June 2006, I'd just seen Deal or No Deal for the first time, and I'm ashamed to admit that I quickly got addicted to it . I went online to find more information on it - and, quite quickly, I found out that there was a US version, which was quite different from its British equivalent. There were 26 cases (instead of 22 boxes); they were held by models (instead of future contestants); and there was a top prize of $1,000,000 (in fact, one special episode had $5,000,000 ). I found all of this out from a video I saw on YouTube - a website I'd never seen before, but it did look great, and I've been visiting it daily ever since . (I did do a quick search for that Deal or No Deal video; however, since this was 13 years ago, I suspect it's long since vanished into the aether by now)
What about you?
