Yeah, I remember hearing on one of those Dinosaur George podcasts that, in a "predator vs. prey" match-up, the prey tends to win 80-90% of the time (and I'm guessing the 10-20% are cases when the prey is old or sick). If the prey didn't win the vast majority of the time, then it'd go extinct pretty quickly.

With that said... the prey usually wins those by running away - and, running away isn't allowed in the Face-Off Arena: the gaur would need to win by defeating the dogs in physical combat . I think it'd have a chance: it is powerful and bulky, and it'd be more than capable of trampling any Boltacyon that get in its way. Still, it does have vulnerable legs, and the Boltacyon have more scope for intelligent teamwork (since they outnumber the gaur by 6 to 1).

My guess is that the gaur wins this. By the time it tramples the last of the six dogs, it'll be beaten up, but alive.
