Quote:ITV has suspended filming and broadcasts of The Jeremy Kyle Show after the death of a guest who appeared on the programme, amid growing scrutiny of how reality television affects the people who take part.https://www.theguardian.com/media/2019/m...h-of-guest
The broadcaster said it would not screen the episode in which the person took part, in addition to immediately removing all past episodes of the programme from its ITV Hub catch-up service and ending repeats on other channels.
The broadcaster did not identify the participant, explain how they had died or give any indication of when the show would be back on air.
After one death of a former contestant who had found short-lived fame from Love Island (by suicide), comes this. Given of how reality TV can warp people's minds, this isn't too surprising. The show would be better off gone from the air for good though as everybody knows it's basically a British Jerry Springer, only with chavs and junkies. It can be said for any reality show for how debilitating they can be to anyone that's stupid enough to appear in them.
