Unless you have a special need for a gaming laptop (e.g. want to game when traveling on a plane, have a bad back and want to play games in bed on days where you can't get out of bed), go for a desktop they will be cheaper (vs their part for part equal laptop) and should preform better (less issues with heat, and no performance hit due to battery/heat/size)
That being said, if you want a gaming laptop cheap Stay away from the "gaming brands" you can often get say an equivalent laptop for cheaper if you go for the normal brand (e.g. ASUS vs ASUS ROG), if you have a Microcenter near you, see if they have PowerSpec laptops (open box can be a steal), it is their in house brand and I have one. There was revamp of the two laptops since I got mine.
Uh some Free VR apps.
I just prefer laptops overall, due to their portability, but I wouldn't be against obtaining a desktop if it has immense benefits. Overall though, I'm going to hold off unless I obtain a huge bonus one day. I have more important things to focus on financially, at the moment.
Thanks for the tips!
