I'm going to be brutally honest with you here. Although the forum looks good by aesthetics and all that, it is struggling very badly with activity. Nearly all the threads you make have no replies whatsoever and you've not had a new member in almost two months. Plus, it seems that most of the posts are going to the off-topic sections and hardly any serious discussion goes on there, not even from the headlines you write about to get people's attention. At least though, you managed to get a thousand posts overall. I suggest that you promote the forum more and maybe make use of SEO if you can or, something else that I know of would help you a lot more (and I can by PM).

I know things had been difficult for you when you were forced out of ZetaBoards like most of us and that you were on the verge of giving up when IcyBoards was to go also but, I still think you need to put more work onto it rather than just running it. It can have potential if it can actually go somewhere.

Just my two cents.

OK.  Money is an issue, but I am open to suggestions.

Well, you're certainly posting a lot of actual content, so that's good . However, the majority of it is very US-specific (so people have to be from the USA to have a reasonable chance of understanding or knowing about the issues and the sports discussed). Several of the more recently-active users aren't from the USA, so there's nothing they can meaningfully contribute to those sections . 

I think what's needed is more content that appeals to an international audience (either because it relates to countries other than the USA, or because it's more 'universal' issue-based discussion that isn't tied to any specific country). Perhaps that might help to encourage more activity?

Thanks to inspiration from TCH and another site I frequent, I have decided to shorten my posting style.  Just a short paragraph or two, then leave a link to follow BEFORE you get "Bethea's Byte" whether straight up or sarcastic.

Honestly, I never knew what "tl;dr" meant, but I noticed between here and this other site, the old adage "less is more" seemed  appropriate.

Update to the site.

New Feature added.  This one is just for you.  If you have a username on site, and you are tired of that bland silver color for the Members group, you can have your name done up in TWO COLORS!  Even if you have one short word for a username, you can have it split in two colors.

In my sig, I made my name split up in Blue and Red, the signature colors of Bethea's Byte.  I've done the same with my username on the site as well.  Now if I can do that with MY name, what can I do with YOURS?

I'm testing something new.  Actually it's kinda old, but you will get the idea (I hope...)

I am using an idea that has been used in newspapers since 1954.  JUMBLE!

What I will do is give you the clue and four words scrambled.

Your job is to unscramble those words and use the key letters to figure out the Jumble answer to the clue.
