Another Childhood

[Kyng]

"Well, that was more progress ," Meriandra responded encouragingly, as she helped Kyle back up off the floor. "Just keep trying - and I'm sure you'll get the technique soon !"

[Megan]

Kyle frowned but reluctantly tried again. Again he could only manage a few steps before he fell.

[Kyng]

"See, you managed a few steps then !" Meriandra chirped excitedly, as she once again helped Kyle up. "Now... do you think you can try to get out of your door, and into the main corridor? Don't worry: I'll make sure Andy isn't around first..."

[Megan]

“I…I don’t think so…” Kyle said looking nervous.

[Kyng]

"Okay... let's just stay in here for now," Meriandra agreed. "Perhaps you could walk backwards and forwards between here and the bathroom?"

[Megan]

“I guess…” Kyle said. He reluctantly did as was asked. He still couldn’t very well as he constantly fell.

[Kyng]

Meriandra noticed that Kyle was no longer making much progress. "Well, you've done quite a lot today... would you like a rest now?"

Meanwhile, the woman who claimed to have given birth to Jake's child was back outside the gate of Lennart Castle, clutching one of her old journals. "Here's my evidence... it's... embarrassing... but if Jake still has his journal from a year ago, you should be able to cross-reference it with that..."

[Megan]

The guard sighed. “We don’t even know if he has a journal.”


Kyle sighed but nodded. “I…I guess so…”

[Kyng]

"Oh, he did..." the girl assured the guards. "I remember he wrote in it about me, and his other girls... surely it'll be somewhere in his room..."

"Okay ," Meriandra agreed. "I can come back this evening... or if you'd prefer, I can leave it until tomorrow!"

[Megan]

“T…tomorrow…” Kyle said.


The guard sighed again. “Fine, we’ll look into it.”
