In this topic, I will post scientific names I came up with for Pokémon!
"But Osprey, doesn't Oddish have a scientific name already?"
I don't care if it does, this topic highlights scientific names I made up, because I like to be as realistic as possible.
If you want to help, that's fine with me. I don't care, but please follow these basic rules:
(1) -us (masculine), -a (feminine), -um (neuter).
(2) -is (masculine), -is (feminine), -e (neuter).
(3) -er (masculine), -era (feminine), -erum (neuter).
Source.
For example:
Myrmecophaga is feminine, so it has to end in -a, such as tridactyla; (Giant Anteater)
Cervus masculine, so it has to end in -us, such as elephus; (Red Deer)
Trochalopteron is neuter, so it has to end in -um, such as variegatum (Variegated Laughingthrush)
When it comes to people's names, gender doesn't matter, for example, Tragon temminckii is the scientific name of the Temminck's Tragopan.
Got it? Good, now I'll show the names I made up.
