Which languages did you study at school? Did you enjoy these, or would you have preferred to study other ones?
Myself, I studied French from Year 7 to Year 11, then added Spanish from Year 9 to Year 11. Between the two languages, I think I preferred Spanish, because there seemed to be fewer weird exceptions to rules, and the pronunciation made more sense (although, my inability to roll my R's did create problems with the 'rr' sound in Spanish ). I would have liked to have continued one of these languages in Sixth Form; however, my careers adviser recommended that I take Chemistry instead, so I did that (and now I regret it ).
I also briefly did German and Latin during lunchtime clubs, although I never got remotely close to being able to hold a conversation in either language, so I don't think those really count .
What about you?
