Video Games:

The Special Battle rules for Season 11 have been revealed. Season 11 will run from July 10th to September 3rd 2018 and runs on Sun & Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, with rankings separate to eachother. This ruleset is rather standard but allows use of Mythical Pokémon, as well as standard Necrozma and Zygarde
Battle type: Single Battle
Pokémon Restrictions: National Pokédex. No Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Solgaleo, Lunala, Dusk Mane Necrozma, and Dawn Wings Necrozma cannot be used.. 
The other standard rules apply, including all set to Level 100 if above that, and you choose 3 Pokémon out of your 6, and you cannot have two Pokémon holding the same hold item. Battles have a 10 minute duration, with turns having a 60 second timer. 

Niantic have announced the Pokémon GO Special Weekend in Japan. On the weekened of July 26th through 29th, there will be special events held at partner locations across Japan. These locations require purchasing a ticket at stores which then allow you to check in at participating sponsored PokéStops on the day. When at the event, from 10:00 to 20:00 JST on particular days, there will be increased spawns of various Pokémon and Double Experience for all participants with the spawns happening anywhere in Japan. July 26th - Softbank - Unown S, B & Charmander
July 27th - Toho Cinemas, Tully's Coffee & Joyfull - Unown T, J & Squirtle
July 28th - McDonalds - Unown M, D & Pikachu
July 29th - Aeon - Unown A, E & Bulbasaur
Tickets can be obtained by answering questionaires and shopping at various stores and exchanged for participation tickets on:

Toho Cinemas - From July 13

Joyful - From July 15
Tully's Coffee - From July 24
Also Niantic have confirmed details for the Articuno Day on Saturday. In the same times as Community Day, players will be able to receive 5 Raid Passes from the Gym, as well as participate in raid battles against Articuno, with a chance of them being shiny. In addition to this, until 23:59 UTC tomorrow, Corsola and Roselia will have higher spawns in Europe as an apology for the Safari Zone event having issues on Saturday

Pokémon Shuffle has begun Week 21 of its event cycle. This cycle continues the Escalation Battle from last week as well as the following stages that will run for a week
The Ultra Challenge Stage is a stage for Guzzlord
The Great Challenge Stages are Hitmonchan, Gardevoir (Shiny), Landorus Therian Forme, Fennekin (Winking) & Araquanid
The Daily Pokémon are Oricorio Pom-Pom Style, Wishiwashi, Komala, Fomantis & Torracat
There's a One Chance Per Day stage for Jellicent (Female)
There's a Competitive stage for Mega Gardevoir
In addition to this, there's a Pokémon Safari containing Sewaddle, Cottonee (Winking), Cutiefly, Flabébé (Winking), Swadloon, Snubbull (Winking), Whimsicott (Winking), Floette (Winking), Chansey (Winking) & Leavanny which will last two weeks.

Anime:

Japanese TV Guides have revealed new episode titles for upcoming episodes of the anime. This episode is due to air on July 19th.

Video Games:

Details for the Yokosuka Safari Zone have been announced. This Safari Zone runs from August 29th through to September 2nd and has increased spawns of various Pokémon including Feebas, Torchic Unown and Tropius in three of the city parks: Mikasa, Verny, and Kurihama. It will also include Shiny Wingull. This event is a ticketed event and players can only attend one day. If players try to scan the special ticket for a second day, the Pokémon will not spawn for them. Applications open from July 6th until July 20th but, if they exceed capacity, will shift from being a guarantee to being selected by random

Video Games:

For those of you in Europe and Oceania, the sixth month of the Legendary Pokémon Year events have begun. From now until July 22nd 2018, players will be able to get a Thundurus in Pokémon Sun and Ultra Sun or Tornadus in Pokémon Moon and Ultra Moon simply by going through Mystery Gift > Get Via Internet. These distributions differ between Sun & Moon and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon with the Pokémon being Level 60 in Sun & Moon and Level 100 holding a Gold Bottle Cap in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Their Event Database has full details of this event.
This event will be distributed in North America through Target from July 13th and Canada through the official Pokémon Trainer Club Newsletter later this month

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This is the 2018 Anniversary event, running from July 6th at 20:00 UTC until July 31st and features increased Pikachu spawns in the wild and Pichu spawns in Eggs. However, in addition to this, special Summer Style Pikachu will also be available throughout the month. Finally, there's also a special avatar outfit focused on Pikachu that unlocks depending on how much of your Pikachu Fan medal you have completed. Finally, Niantic have confirmed that the Mythical Pokémon, Celebi, will be added to the game soon. Also, this weekend, from today until Sunday, is the Japan Expo which is being held in Paris, France. With this, a special Poké Stop has appeared which has spawns of Unown letters J, A, P, N, E, X, & O, spelling out Japan Expo which will spawn around the event location

Anime:

Japanese TV Guides have revealed new episode titles for upcoming episodes of the anime. ThisThese episodes are due to air on July 26th, August 2nd and August 9th respectively. The first features Ash shrinking after an accident from an experiment by Faba. The second features Ash encountering Mina who can sense Pokémon's feelings but senses something in Poipole. The final episode features a Stakataka appear at the Pokémon School.

Other:

The special Gym Cup, the Dragon Gym Cup has begun in Pokémon Duel. This Gym Cup increases the movement of Dragon-type figures and increases the White & Gold Attacks of Ice-type Pokémon by 20. Within this, you can get the Dragonair & Dragonite figures. It runs until June 9th 2018

A new event has been announced in Japan. If you purchase certain items at 7-11 in Japan, you will get a special clearfile based on the movie, Everyone's Story. However, you will also get a special serial code to give 100 Poké Balls to Ultra sun & Ultra Moon. To top it off, with the code, there's also a slim chance that instead of 100 Poké Balls, you will instead receive 99 Poké Balls and 1 Master Ball.

The Second Anniversary event is now live in Pokémon GO. This event has special Summer Style Pikachu, Raichu and Pichu added to the game with Pichu appearing more in eggs and Pikachu in the wild. With this, a special Pikachu outfit has also gone live. Plus a special Anniversary Box has gone live. This box contains 2 Super Incubators, 2 Premium Raid Passes and 30 Ultra Balls for 480 Coins. In addition to this, you can now purchase as part of the promotion 100 Poké Balls for 300 Coins, down from 460 Coins. Not only that Niantic have announced that the Articuno Day event is to be postponed in Japan due to the extreme weather conditions currently hitting the majority of the country, citing safety concerns. The event should still go on globally as planned and will run separately for Japan at a later date. They'll provide more details as we get them. Finally, It has been confirmed by The Pokémon Company that, to tie in with the second anniversary event in Pokémon GO, the Pokémon storage maximum has been increased from 1,500 to 2,000 Pokémon. To reach this, you will need to purchase 10 additional Pokémon Storage Upgrades in the game's shop. However the official site has removed the note about the increase in Pokémon Storage in Pokémon GO with this event. They're currently awaiting further information

TCG/VGC:

Today marks the first day of the second Pokémon North American International Championships in Columbus, Ohio, and, like previous events, the event is going to be officially streamed by The Pokémon Company International across three different streams. Each game has got its own individual stream

Today marks the Pokémon GO Articuno Day. On this day, for three hours in each region, Articuno will appear exclusively in Raid Battles with a three hour timer at all gyms during the event. With this, Articuno can also now be found Shiny. This special event runs at these times:
Asia & Oceania: 03:00 UTC - 06:00 UTC (12:00 JST - 15:00 JST) - Note: Japan's has been postponed
Europe: 09:00 UTC - 12:00 UTC (10:00 BST - 13:00 BST / 12:00 CET - 15:00 CET)
North America: 18:00 UTC - 21:00 UTC (11:00 PDT - 14:00 PDT / 14:00 EDT - 17:00 EDT)

Niantic have announced that the Community Day event is to be postponed in Japan due to the extreme weather conditions currently hitting the majority of the country, citing safety concerns. Today marks the Pokémon GO Community Day. On this day, for three hours in each region, Squirtle will appear, enmass, in Pokémon GO with a chance of Shiny Squirtle appearing. During this event, when you evolve a Wartortle into Blasoise, it will know the move Hydro Cannon, which is exclusive to this event. This coincides with 25% Egg Walking Distance with captures and Lure Modules running for 3 hours. In addition to this, new bits of exclusive Event exclusive Field Research has started and will only appear during the event, which also includes the chance of getting a special Sunglasses wearing variant of Squirtle. This runs at these times:

Niantic have confirmed that the Special Weekend event originally planned to be held by SoftBank on July 26th with increased spawns of Charmander and Unown S & B has been postponed. At present no date has been given for the run of the event, but SoftBank tickets already obtained will be transferrable to the event when it begins. They'll provide more details as they come

Pokémon Shuffle has begun Week 22 of its event cycle. This cycle has the following stages that will run for a week
The Ultra Challenge Stage is a stage for Tapu Lele
The Great Challenge Stages are Uxie, Carracosta, Chespin (Winking), Type: Null & Turtonator
The Daily Pokémon are Oricorio P'au Style, Alolan Grimer, Dewpider, Alolan Sandshrew and Brionne
There's a One Chance Per Day stage for Landorus Incarnate Forme
There's a Special stage for Goodra
In addition to this, there's a Magearna Escalation Battle which will run for two weeks.

Tomorrow, a new version of Pokémon Duel is being uploaded following the weekly maintenance. This update is Version 6.0.12 and includes a variety of changes and new feature. In it, some figures are set to be updated

The official site has revealed some further details about Alolan Raichu in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As seen during the Treehouse demonstrations, Alolan Raichu will travel across the screen, damaging opponents that it hits

The latest patch for Pokkén Tournament DX is now available. This patch is one of the larger balance patches to hit Pokkén Tournament DX, featuring changes to all playable Pokémon and several support Pokémon. Changes are listed in our patch section with English patchnotes to be amended. They have also updated our Playable Pokémon Pages & Support Pokémon Pages with details on all the new and altered moves

Other:

A new patch has gone live for Pokémon Quest (On Switch). This patch contains various bug fixes with displays such as Hit Healing displaying 10% when it's between 9 and 10%. It also provides 500 PM Tickets for free to players as compensation

Pokémon Duel's new patch has been delayed heavily on IOS but is now available on Android. With this update, the bug fixes and balance patch announced yesterday have been implemented. At present there is no word on when the patch will be implemented on iOS, making iOS a bit limited in figures that can be obtained and prevents players playing with players with the new patch, but it has now finally been pushed to iOS devices
