Indie game developer and publisher Boxelware has dropped a new video for their upcoming theme-park simulator, Aquapark Tycoon. This latest look at the game focuses on the gameplay, as we're shown just a little bit of what you'll be working with to make your waterpark one of the hottest attractions of the Summer. You can design he park however you see fit from making tube rides to kiddie pools to wave makers. All with the goal of attracting as many customers as possible to come hang out, have some fun, get a bite to eat, and maybe come back more over a blazing summer. Enjoy the video here as we're still waiting on a release date.

In Aquapark Tycoon, players take on the role of a water park manager, tasked with designing diverse poolscapes, constructing thrilling water slides, and creating wellness havens with a variety of saunas, all while attending to the desires of their guests. Each day presents fresh challenges, providing abundant opportunities for creativity and management skills. Aquapark Tycoon will offer a wealth of content and features, ensuring hours of fun gameplay.

As a fan of the first three RCT games, but found Planet Coaster's building systems too complex, I am pleased to see that this looks simpler. Although, the graphics for the people look very dated  .

Also, since it focuses exclusively on water parks, this is obviously going to be quite niche - but I suppose that doesn't matter too much if the gameplay holds up!

I was a big fan of RCT when I was growing up. I have some of the games on my Steam account, and some uninstalled ones that I purchased or got free on my iPhone. None of my RCT games are available on GeForce NOW, so I play Planet Coaster instead.

I like tycoon games overall, and this one looks pretty neat. Granted, I rarely play them anymore and mainly stick to playing a handful of games, but if I see this on sale and ever feel in the tycoon spirit again, I may purchase it.

Yeah, so was I. Sadly, I feel like there hasn't been a 'good' RCT game in 20 years (unless we count RCT Classic - but that was just a remaster of the old games, rather than a genuinely new one  !)

Maybe this will end up scratching the same itch for me, though :) .

I enjoyed playing RCT 3 on my iPhone for a brief period. I even purchased the classic version. I don't play either right now, but I can always re-download them as I wish!

Aqua parks are cool, but rollercoasters are probably cooler. To me, at least.
