Favourite co-op video games?

Think of video games, and you'll probably think of something competitive.

Some of the most popular titles in the world, such as Fortnite and Call of Duty, are focused on outgunning, outrunning or outclassing opponents.

But, as Josef Fares and his studio Hazelight have shown, that's not the only thing gamers want.

His latest, Split Fiction, is a collaborative experience where two players work together to solve puzzles and beat obstacles.

The adventure game has received rave reviews, sold one million copies in 48 hours and is currently among the most-watched titles on streaming platform Twitch.

This 'Split Fiction' game here sounds like my kind of thing, provided I can find someone to play it with  . Indeed, Portal 2's co-op has a great reputation too - although, I've never played it myself, simply because I have no-one to play it with!

So, what are some of your favourite co-op video games (whether they're entirely co-op, or have a co-op mode?)

The only really co-op like thing I play honestly is Stardew Valley sometimes.

Portal 2  :P   tbh there's been a dearth of truly co-op games.  especially couch co-op which can make just hanging out with friends and multiple controllers sharing a console or PC a challenge.

I enjoy Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Dead By Daylight (you don’t always get altruistic team mates though) and CS 2.

For games that aren't exclusively co-op, Minecraft, Terraria, and Grounded have been my big three that I've had the most fun with doing co-op games in. I think a big thing those games benefit from with co-op is if I want to focus on building something, someone else can help gather materials for me while they're out exploring.
