Happy 15th Anniversary, TCH!

One of my regrets about the Chess Resources Forum (which I started back on 21st December 2004) is that it didn't quite make it to its 5th anniversary: we were just 18 days short. Thus, when the community that would eventually become The Coffee House opened on 3rd December 2009, I naturally wondered whether it would see its 5th anniversary. And there were certainly times during those 5 years when looked like it wouldn't. However, we not only pulled through those difficult years - but we went from strength to strength. Not only did we survive those 5 years - but we did it again, and did it again. Today, The Coffee House celebrates its 15th birthday!

We hit a couple of important milestones this year. First of all, we surpassed the 380,086 posts that the original ZetaBoards forum had accumulated by the time of its closure in mid-2018 - and not long afterwards, we hit 400,000 total posts. Secondly, there have been some successful new additions to our community - such as the 'Sakura' theme, and the "Morality and Ethics" section. But most importantly of all, we've forged new friendships, and strengthened our existing ones!

By way of celebration, I have given 715 Coffee Credits to everyone who has logged in over the past 15 days - and I intend to do the same for anyone else who returns over the next 7 days. And we've prepared a bunch of new additions and events, which will be revealed over the coming week - so, stay tuned !

And, to all our valued members: I hope you have a happy 15th anniversary !

To think that I got here forum hopping. It's eye popping to see how much TCH has grown throughout the years. Of course, we couldn't have done it with our members but the credit also goes to the staff team keeping this place from falling like Jenga blocks.
