Julius Caesar
[Image: Was-Julius-Caesar-a-Good-Leader-1024x643.jpg]
Rome’s famous novice turned noble who paved the way for the reign of the empire!
Abilities: Diplomacy, charisma, military leadership, dueling, >average physical abilities, TOTAL BIGHEAD
Shaka Zulu

Conan of the savannah, Shaka was an unstoppable force feared by all!
Abilities: >average physical abilities, Generalship, charisma, deception

Standard battle arena with a savannah environment. Both get 100,000 troops with unit composition accounting for historical accuracy with the addition of 100 Brown Bess muskets on Shaka's side.

Had to give Shaka the guns or he wouldn’t have a chance. Caesar has way more diversity in battle units.

I'll go with Shaka here, I think.

Even without the guns, I think he'd be tough to beat - but, with them, I definitely think he has the edge. And because there are 100,000 soldiers on each side, the inaccuracy of the Brown Bess doesn't matter too much: they won't be aimed at any specific soldier, and they just need to hit one of the 100,000  !

Interesting. Most others would say Julius wins and you yourself said he'd beat someone with centuries superior technology named Attila the Hun aka the better Katniss Everdeen. Shaka Zulu guns aside has inferior weaponry and defenses and Zulu didn't make use of much musketry. Though, he is a brilliant general in his own right and while he isn't as well known as Rome's imperial founder, it doesn't change the fact Shaka had achievements impressive in his own right and stands as a symbol of anti-colonial resistance(while conquering his own empire but shhh...)

Caesar isn’t just sending the legions here; His force also has cavalry and a good number of auxiliaries as ranged support and skirmishing as well as cavalry. So that’s a level of diversity Shaka can’t imitate. Shaka also rarely used musketry; He himself said charging spearmen could close the gap before the musketeers could reload and with muzzleloaders he’d be right. However, his successors like Cetshwayo had the rotten luck of facing Redcoats with Martini-Henry rifles and machine guns.

Iwisa, meet Ceasar; he's a commander who thinks he can mess with Conan of the Savanna.

You can grow my wheat for me now that you’re beaten.
