Do you capitalise Pokémon names?

Do you capitalise the names of Pokémon when typing? 

Official Pokémon media and books capitalise the names of Pokémon, so I've always assumed they're suppossed to be capitalised. So, I always capitalise the names.

I tend to, unless I'm being lazy about it? It's one of those things that maybe it's more important to capitalise if you're refering to one particular Pokémon, such as the Pikachu. Yet if we're talking of a... herd, murder, whatever a group is called, maybe then they're called lower-case pikachu/s. (Ha, my phone autocorrected to the capital P then.)

I used to as in the older games it was weird not to. They changed this at Sinnoh (Diamond & Pearl) but I wasn’t aware of it when I first played it. I remember on GTS, you would have a mix of capital trainer names and ordinary names. After that, I stopped doing that. Even when replaying the older games I now lowercase them.

Yes... it actually makes me cringe a little whenever I see a Pokemon's name in lowercase. It's like my brain can't adapt to what it sees as a freak error.

It's a name/proper noun, so like any name I'll always capitalize it.

Pretty much this . I don't think I ever see them not capitalised (except perhaps in very quick messages that have no punctuation at all!).

Absolutely. I treat animal names the same way, too.

I do although I admit it's funny. I say a dog not a Dog yet I would say a Pikachu instead of a pikachu despite it being the same idea in a way.
