We've got our third gold medal :D ! Nathan Hales took victory in the men's trap shooting:

However, things aren't looking too good with regards to the triathlon. It's had to be postponed because the River Seine is too polluted:

Ahh no I was happy with Tom Daley getting a silver medal. He came back because his son wanted to and he is 30. As he said in interviews, he has already been in 4 other Olympic Games so this is huge. He has one of each now overall!

I saw that him and his diving partner hadn’t actually had too much time to practice together as Tom lives in LA now and the other guy lives in London. I think they trained together for 8 weeks maybe as he was going to do it with someone who had an injury to his back? Obviously this is just me going off my memory.

Nonetheless, I am delighted.

I dont know what happened but this time i decided not to watch any of it. The intro with the heavy metal band put me right off. The french is known to put on cutting edge and fashion charged events. Ive always watched olympics

We're up to 6 gold medals now. I had pretty low expectations going into these games - but, it seems that our athletes are doing a good job :) !

I have to say the mockery of the Last Supper in the opening ceremony was utterly abhorrent to me. Didn't see the rest of the ceremony but I hope there will be an apology for that.

On a more positive note, freestyle BMX is pretty incredible! Nice to see a Brit in the medals as well!

Yeah... that made me quite uncomfortable as well. They won't apologize, I can tell you that much.

@Chuck: You are such a nice fella. Congratulations on your medals so far! I'm quite disappointed by our winnings so far, but I hope to get a couple more.

I guess I didn’t really care nor did it bother me. 

I’m not rooting for team USA, so I don’t know how many medals there are. But I’m glad Costa Rica is part of it. I’m also rooting for all of the Scandinavian countries too.

Oh yeah, I found it so wholesome at the opening ceremony where they showed very small teams from smaller countries. That representation is powerful.
