I guess it makes sense - if we ever want to create colonies on other planets, then the Moon is a great place to test these things out. I can't imagine that will be anytime soon, but doing more missions to the Moon would be the first step in that direction.

Hopefully it will be successful - I'll certainly be keeping an eye on progress.

Sadly, this has been delayed. The second mission (which will send astronauts around the Moon, but not land on it), has been pushed back from September 2025 to April 2026:

This means we won't actually land on the Moon until 2027 at the earliest. A pity, but probably for the best: I'd rather it was done safely, than have it rushed to meet the original deadline!
