When I was a very small kid (around three years old or so), my dad bought a 386 computer powered by whatever version of DOS was out at the time, to do some of his office job from the comfort of our home.
I really liked that computer, since it was not only a true workhorse, but also incredibly reliable... right to the point where it was never taken to be fixed in the five years it spent in our house, which is a lot more than can be said about all the different PCs that came after it (it even survived toddler me inserting my dad's military ID card into the floppy disk drive ).
I was really fond of that particular PC, since it was not only the very first one I had ever used, but also where it played some of my very first PC games... things like Secret Agent, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? and Sensible Soccer, to name a few. I remember being really upset when the computer was let go of in order to bring home a Pentium II carrying Windows 95.
I also enjoyed how smart it made me feel by using DOS commands to actually access things
Do you remember what your PC was like? If so, were you fond of it or were you glad you got to upgrade and change it for something better?
