A couple of days ago, Cool Cory asked me which sub-forum would be the next to go. I told him I wasn't yet in a position to answer that; however, an answer would likely be coming soon. But now, I am in a position to provide that answer
.
Here are my proposals for the next round of board layout changes:
So, should I go ahead with these?

Here are my proposals for the next round of board layout changes:
- Add a "Morality and Ethics" sub-forum to Abstract Ideas and General Knowledge
Recently, one of the staff members that they'd like to post some "AITA?"-style stories, that invite people to make a moral judgement about people involved in some kind of interpersonal conflict. However, I didn't really have a good idea for where these would go: I guess there's General Chat, but they'd just be buried there. However, they'd fit naturally within a board about morality and ethics - which, in my opinion, would be best placed under Abstract Ideas and General Knowledge. Such a board would start out very small; however, I believe it'd be a fertile area for growth (after all, these stories certainly aren't the only things we could discuss there!).
- Re-name "Jokes and Internet Humour" to "Jokes, Memes, and Shorts"
"Internet Humour" has always been a bit of a vague term. For example: if somebody finds a funny online video, does that count as "Internet Humour", or would it be better posted in "Stage and Screen"? We had a situation where some people were doing the former, and others were doing the latter - with no rhyme or reason to it. To remedy this, we introduced a new policy within Stage and Screen, stating that "Short-form videos with no narrative should instead be posted in Jokes and Internet Humour".
However, the issue of the board's name being vague remains. But when I looked at content of the board... it was overwhelmingly made up of jokes; memes; and short-form videos. Thus, I think changing the name to "Jokes, Memes and Shorts" would make it clearer what this part of the board is used for.
- Remove the "Personality Quizzes" sub-forum
In order to stop the board layout from growing too cluttered, I have a "One in, one out" rule: whenever I add a new forum or sub-forum, I remove an underperforming one. And sadly, the "Personality Quizzes" section has seen very little activity in recent times. The sites I used to get quizzes from have stopped posting new ones - and the sites that replaced them only post insufferable clickbait, like this. As a result, I simply have nothing good to post in that part of the board any more - so we tend to see a long period of silence, followed by a brief flurry of activity when somebody decides to binge the older quizzes, followed by another long period of silence. And I don't see this situation changing, because there aren't enough good personality quizzes out there to support this section any more.
So, should I go ahead with these?
