I am huge Hunger Games fan. I own all the movies and the books but it's been a long since I read or watched them.

It’s been a while for me too. I watched the first movie when it came out in the cinema back in 2012 then I read all the books within a week time frame. I remember that my sister also bought the books too because they were cheap so we have two sets in our household. I sometimes watch key scenes on YouTube though.

I’ll definitely be buying this as I have been a long-term The Hunger Games fan. Hopefully this book will do the rest of the series justice.

And I can tell you it did not. Hungary Games died with Mockingjay and Battle Royale. Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes just dumped on the grave.
I’m done with Hungary Games; I’m sticking with better things.

And now, a new book (called Sunrise on the Reaping) has been announced:

https://news.sky.com/story/hunger-games-...s-13149050

This will be another prequel - set 24 years before the first book, but 40 years after The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. So I guess this will tell Haymitch's story?

Aw shucks! I wanted it to either just end right there or have Rule Romania instead!

Oh neat! Definitely will be getting that!

Edit: And pre-ordered.

Also I guess an illustrated version of the first is coming out? I saw it on Barnes and Noble here.

I read the first hunger games book, and found it was an enjoyable read. Defenetly was intense and suspenceful! I tried reading the second, but it gets really gruesome, so I had a hard time stomaching that after awhile….but, maybe down the road, I will give it another go. The franchise in general is interesting.

Fans have wanted a book on Haymitch’s story for the longest time so this is a good idea. Real ones remember that really good fanmade video on YouTube. ;)
