Over the years, I've accumulated a fair amount of foreign currency, either from friends/family or left over from my own travels. I thought it was about time I photographed these, and uploaded them for your viewing pleasure  . 


Until now, I haven't had them all collected in one place, so there's a good chance I've missed some. If I do find any more (or, for that matter, collect any more!), I'll add them into this post later on. 


Also, all photos have been uploaded to my Flickr account, because I thought it could use some love. (I still have quite a large backlog of photos to upload to it  )

Interesting collection my friend I happen to have some foreign coins myself but, only from my mother's travels back in her youth... and only of a few pesetas

I don’t have any right now, but I’d be happy to go and buy a roll of quarters, usually $10.

Sadly, no Argentine ones yet . One of my RL friends did go there a few years back, and he brought back a banknote, but no coins.

(In fact, I don't think I've added to my collection at all since posting this!)

For some reason I haven't read this topic or I did and I never replied. Anyway, that's a really nice collection! I always get excited when I get a coin from a different state. Surprisingly, I have not come across a Maine coin. Also, where/how did you acquire those?

Thanks ! They were acquired over the years from my own holidays or my parents' holidays.

(As for the US state coins... if I lived in America, then I would definitely try to assemble a collection of state quarters. I know I could buy a full set online, but that kind of defeats the purpose of 'collecting' )
