My Grandad's Ancient Maths Exam
#1
While we were doing a clear-out of my grandparents' old house, we found the following maths exam, which my grandad sat all the way back in 1942 :O . I don't know how he did on it, but I uploaded it in order to show the kinds of questions that were asked back then:

Now obviously, I don't expect anybody to sit down for two hours to attempt the whole thing  . However, if you want to try any individual questions, you're welcome to do so :) . Of if you just want to comment on how they compare to the exams that you sat (presumably in more recent years), then by all means go ahead and do that :P .

So, does this look like the sort of thing you could have a good go at if you had to - or is it too difficult  ?

Interesting to see what a maths exam used to look like back then. That's a cool find.

Those questions look very tricky. I tried to hve a go at one of the questions in the pic, but I found it too difficult.
