The Traitors (UK)

I saw the first episode yesterday. Here are my thoughts on it.

Series 3 Episode 1

Regarding the 3 players that had to leave the train, I'd be very surprised if they don't come back in some capacity later on in the series. There's no way the first episode would make such a big deal and spend 10 minutes of the episode about sending people off only to never mention them again. 

As for the Traitors' performances so far, I think Minah seems to be doing quite good as a traitor so far, and has easily performed the best out of the 3 of them so far. The same can't be said for Linda, though, - as she's already got tons of suspcion on her. She made a big mistake turning her head the second Claudia said "Traitors." I think Jake shouldn't have revealed his suspcions about Linda so early, but instead tried to become good friends with her. It's better to befriend a traitor and make them think you completely trust them, then banish them at the end, because if Linda gets banished, then the other traitors will see Jake as a threat and murder him. But credit to Jake for figuring out it's Linda so early, though. And I think Armani is overdoing it far too much and is already giving herself away. 

Charlotte's decision to do a fake accent just seems silly and pointless.  It's just putting extra pressure on herself, and I wouldn't be surprised if she slips up later in the series and forgets to use the accent during a conversation and gets found out. And if it gets found out she's lying about her accent, then people won't trust her, because they'll believe that since she lied about that, then she could lie about being a faithful. 

I'm excited to see the rest of the series. The first episode was great.

Series 3 Episode 1

Well, true to form, my prediction was completely wrong !

Kicking three players out of the game before it began was pretty nasty - but, I'm sure we haven't seen the last of them. (Heck, maybe they'll be the second team of Traitors, and my prediction will end up coming true after all !!!)

I was not expecting an all-female Traitor team. Not sure how I feel about that - but then, last series' roster of Traitors ended up being very male-dominated, so I guess that evens out .

A pity Linda seems to have given herself away: if she gets banished (and there's a good chance that she will), then she'll surely be the worst Traitor on the UK series so far. The other two do seem to be doing better, though.

Also, what on Earth is Charlotte doing ? When she inevitably gets found out, any trust she's built up will immediately get destroyed - and she'll probably get banished right away.

Good start to the series, though - and I'm certainly looking forward to the rest !

I don't have too much to say at this stage, but here's to say that indeed I am watching.

Minah appears to be the best at 'Traitoring' at the moment, being currently under the radar. Linda became suspicious too early, and Armani is being too much having her say amongst everyone else, which is already starting to raise suspicion. I'm sure the three that were left off the train will return in some way -- secretly Traitorous? -- we need to see more of the guy with the mullet-like hairstyle, surely?There's nothing more I can really say right now.

Series 3 Episode 2

Okay, how did Linda survive two banishments ? I was sure she was going to go on the first one!

With that being said, I like that the reward for succeeding at the challenge was "No murder". Quite often, in previous series, the challenges have been the least consequential part of the show - so it's nice to see the stakes being raised. (With that being said: they can't really do this for every challenge - so perhaps they'll balance it out by having some challenges where failure means there are two murders!)

But yes, Minah seems to be the best Traitor so far - although I do wonder how well she'll be able to sustain it once the numbers start thinning out (and people start looking suspicious for blending in too much into the background!)

Season 3 Episode 2

I was so surprised to see Linda get through both banishments. I thought for sure she was going to get banished in the first one. But it's incredible how she literally gets forgotten about the next day after getting lots of votes at the first banishement table. 

Armani is contiuning to perform badly and is doing terribly socially in the game, as she's drawn multiple suspcions onto herself, including her own sister. Both ehr and Linda aren't doing very well at the moment. I think Minah continued to do a great job in this episode, though. I can see her making the final at this rate if she keeps this up.

I liked how the reward for suceding in that mission raised the stakes, and it made it interesting seeing the traitors try to subtly attempt to sabotage it. The missions can be boring sometimes, so it's good to see the missions being made more itneresting.

Series 3 Episode 3

Well, Linda survived another night - but Armani didn't! She didn't exactly play a good game, though: she even got her own sister suspicious of her . And now, they can't recruit: they have to murder. So, if Linda gets banished next (or if Minah does anything to draw suspicion on herself), they could be down to just one Traitor!

Once again, we had a challenge that raised the stakes - by offering people the chance to add money to the pot, in exchange for putting themselves at risk of murder. Caused quite an argument - but I personally wouldn't have got off the boat! With so few potential murder targets, it'd be too dangerous (and I wouldn't be winning any prize money anyway if I got murdered ).

Finally, the "Rail replacement" thing was hilarious . And it's a pretty strong hint that we're going to see more of the three contestants who got off the train in the first episode! I wonder what they'll be doing?

Season 3 Episode 1 & 2

The way armani steamrolls every conversation is wild. She is doing a dreadful job of being a traitor. Linda has done dreadful so far too.

Very smart play by Minah not telling Armani about the suspicions on her, reckon a backstab is on the cards.

Season 3 Episode 3

Not surprised to see Armani banished. She was playing awful, was far too overconfident, and overdoing it massively in conversations with other contestants. I'm surprised Linda has managed to last this long, though. 

As for who the traitors will murder, I think Maia will be murdered, because she has practically no suspcion on her at the moment, and all of the faithful think she is  definitely a faithful now after she turned on her sister, and so she is not going to get banished. Where as Freddie has some suspicion on him at the moment, and Charlotte had some suspicion on her in episode 2.

The "Rail replacement" thing was funny. I think the three players who left the train in the first episode will be reintroduced half-way through the next episode, but won't be able to be banished or murdered just for that night, just like Kieran and Amos were in season 1.

Season 3 Episode 3

Armani was so, so, so overconfident, and it led to her downfall.

Kas is absolutely doomed and It's for all the worst reasons. Some of the logic is just intellectualism, some downright backwards and some just bad luck that the traitors liked him.

Jake was acting way too bitter over that rowing challenge.

Season 3 Episode 4

Joe got so pissed off by someone pointing out he was being a jerk, so decided to be an even bigger jerk. That guy needs to sort out whatever issues he's got. He's starting to come off as even more dislikeable than Sam from Australia Season 2.

I feel bad that they isolated Kas, that he felt like he had to leave the room so people could gossip about him, and that people isolated him. Glad he kind of got revenge by toying with Joe and the group, though. There is a difference between sussing someone and completely cutting them out.

Baffled that suspicion has so quickly moved on from Linda!
