The web was intended to spread ideas and information, and some times information even when truthful isn't pretty, and often in today's world if it doesn't alight with the wishes or will of these giant companies and governments it gets wrongly classified as "hate", then gets reported as such on mainstream media, to further the cause of controlling information and speech.
The web needs to go back to those who started it, the nerds and geeks who made websites about what they were passionate about. Not for advertising dollars and to track you everwhere you go. Was there hate sites at the time? Yes, but the great thing about the openess of the web [at the time] was the ability to engage in open and honest dialog about it, or you know just ignore those sites, now everything must be blocked or censored, which only drives those sites (and communties) from the open web where things are easily tracked (in the rare event should some one pose a threat) to harder and harder to find places, it also validates them that they are talking about stuff "the man" doesn't want them to, and validates their feelings of being victims because they were just censored.
If anything, from all the chaos that went on in recent years, the man would've had the power to take down the entire web if he wanted to, considering that he's ashamed of what it's become. Not likely though, but you know what I mean.
