Over the past few months, we've taken a number of steps to move forward as a community. The board has been upgraded to PHP 8.2.5; the Forum Contributions awards have returned; and certain parts of the board have become more active than they previously were.
At the same time, however, I've begun to feel exhausted with things. Furthermore, I've been wanting to spend more time on some of my other interests, that I've been neglecting over the past three months or so. Thus, the rest of the staff begun urging me to take a break. And, I agree that I need a breather - so, it's time for me to take some time out.
Here's what I'll be doing:
This break isn't going to be as long as the one I took in November 2021, because I don't feel as burnt out as I did back then. Rather, I'm doing this in order to stop myself from ending up in that state again further down the line. I'm choosing to do it now, instead of having to do it later. As for what I'll be doing during my break... I have no special plans, but I'll probably be studying chess more than usual; completing some books that I started and never finished; and making some new additions to my model railways. But most importantly, I'll be letting go of the various stresses that have gradually built up in recent months.

- Today, I'll be doing some posting, but likely not as much as normal. I still have a couple of loose ends to tie up, as well as a couple of things to set up for my eventual return.
- I will not be logging into TCH for at least 10 days afterwards. I won't vanish from the internet altogether - I will still be visiting other people's forums as normal, and I'll still be reachable in Discord DMs - but I won't be on TCH's forum or Discord server. Those will be taken care of by Nilla and the rest of the staff.
- I will return no earlier than Sunday, 23rd July. If I feel ready to return then, then I will - but if not, I'll let you know.
