One area of mathematics that students sometimes have a hard time grasping, is the field of imaginary numbers (or, square roots of negative numbers). However, the above explanation, by Toby Hendy of the YouTube channel 'Tibees', is quite different from most. She explains this topic in the style of landscape artist Bob Ross
. Normally, this is where I would post a brief written summary of the contents of the video. However, given that the visuals are the defining aspect of this video, I can't really do that in this case
. I do think this video is lighter on mathematical explanation than most, although I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing: on the one hand, it means not everything's been explained fully and thoroughly, but on the other hand, I'm not sure how many people are interested in "full and thorough explanations" to begin with 
. Either way, I hope you enjoyed the video, and you learned something from it
