Prince Harry's memoir released

Bookshops in London opened at midnight to meet demand for Prince Harry's memoir after it officially went on sale.

Fans queuing to buy a hardback copy described wanting to hear the story "from the horse's mouth".

It follows the chaotic launch of Spare with multiple leaks and copies being made available in Spain last week.

Waterstones says Prince Harry's book has been one of its "biggest pre-order titles for a decade".

The booksellers opened their flagship Piccadilly branch early on Tuesday in expectation of high customer demand, as the book was published around the world in 16 languages.

I don't have a whole lot to say about this book, and initially I wasn't going to say anything - but, I figured I might as well share what my sister said to me. She said that, if Prince Harry wants to leave the royal family and live as a private citizen, then he has every right to do that - but it isn't really what he's doing at this point. Rather, it's as though he's trying to have it both ways.

With that being said, I'm sure a lot of people will be interested to hear what he has to say - and, I expect this book will become one of the year's best-sellers!

Of course he does.

A few years back I had a really interesting debate on here and the person I was talking to made the exceedingly good point that being born a Royal was almost a curse in the sense that those people have no right to privacy or room to be wrong. That would crack a lot of people and it would probably crack me as well.

But I agree with you that he seems to be pivoting towards a "middle" and that, rather than let him get a bit of slack, will only put him in the center of all criticism.

Argh. This is all getting far too much attention. Stop banging on about it all, Harry and Meghan, and just live more privately like you flippin' well say you want to.

I really wish he and Meghan would just live their lives in America in their presumably big and fancy house. She could start acting again, he could continue to promote his Invictus Games and do work involving military veterans or survivors. Wouldn't that be more positive than yet another tell-all about the royal family? Surely continually harping on about their disagreements isn't doing them any good, let alone anyone else. The only benefit to them is financial, and I can't imagine they're short in that department either way.

I'm sure that there were disagreements and misunderstandings on both sides that led to them stepping aside, but the more they say, the less sense their stories seem to make, and the less chance there is for any sort of reconciliation, which is what Harry says he wants.

Sadly, I imagine this is probably just part one of a trilogy. We'll get Meghan's book next, and then a joint one, and then who knows what...  :-/

My mum got given this free by someone, so it is now in the house... But I still don't really have a particular desire to read it. Sounds like it was clearly not written by him and has some incorrect information.
